All the ingredients of a fine French dining experience, visited twice in 2 weeks.
Dear friend of mine treated me a splendid lunch last week, vivid memories drove me dine here again 😝
A fine French Crement sparkling to kick off the event, everything went velvety smooth, each course delivered layers of excellence pair with 🥂🥂
My main was French bird, 2015 Calon Segur made the bird flow…..  combination of fine grape juice & succulent meat, what more to ask for🤭
Finish off a seductive soufflé …. fluffy, light, just right… washed down with a fine blended black coffee, what more to ask for🤷🏻‍♂️

My mom wanted to return to this restaurant since it was decades ago. Unfortunately the experience was disappointing.  The meal overall was good but it definitely could have been better. For a fine dining establishment, the service was extremely bad. It seemed like they did not have enough staffing staff even though there were that many tables that were occupied. They were relatively quick to get our order for the drinks and food, but thereafter it was super slow. When you are at a fine dining establishment, water glasses are never left empty. If you have crumbs on the table, they get taken care of. There were a whole bunch of crumbs and the staff just placed the next dish onto the table without cleaning it!  Unbelievable in my opinion!  At the conclusion of the meal, we had to ask for the check - since when does a guest need to do that when you are at a fine dining establishment?  Never!  Then to add to the insult, the staff member stood next to me while I was adding the tip to the bill.  Again, I have NEVER experienced that and I am NOT a novice when it comes to fine dining.

4 stars mostly come from the services.  Food isn’t taste good well. Just average.  If same standard next time, no next time again as not valuable.

Bread and coffee is the best.  Others were average.

Gaddi’s with a brand new Menu under ex L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon Hong Kong Chef, Anne Sophie Nicholas.  Every course was delicious, down to the Amuse Bouche, Bread and Petit Four selections.  Service was on the whole attentive and helpful, barring one or two inexperienced staff.

Opened in 1953, Gaddi's is the first French restaurant in Hong Kong. The place is pure classical elegance, with high ceilings and chandeliers.

The food was OK, not too "WOW", mostly just presentation, but the spacious and elegant environment and the warm and attentive service still make it worth a visit. The most impressive food item for me was the wide selection of delicious bread - the cheese puffs, sourdough, bacon croissants, brioche and more.

For their lunch set menu, you can enjoy a fine dining experience at a relatively affordable price. ($788 for three-course; +$100 for an additional appetizer or dessert)
