Amazing location on the lake and huge potential. I stayed here for two nights during my India trip. I came here with high hopes as my friend had been here before and he said this was his favorite in India. My experience wasn’t as positive. The service wasn’t as good as the Oberoi. The room wasn’t as nice as Raffles. The windows of my room were extremely dirty on the outside, with lots of spider webs and spiders, which took away from the view. The overall experience was not bad but I feel that this place is overrated and my high expectations were not met.

2.	Hospitality: The staff’s hospitality was average, and it felt as though they were more focused on preparations for an upcoming wedding than on ensuring our experience was special. We didn’t feel the attention to detail or care that is often associated with such a premium property.
3.	Accessibility: We had difficulty figuring out how to get to the venue as there were no clear instructions provided. This added unnecessary stress at the start of our stay.
4.	Value for Money: The high pricing felt unjustified, as the experience seemed to rely solely on the fact that you’re staying in a palace. Beyond the luxurious setting, there was little effort to provide memorable experiences or personal touches that would make a honeymoon special.
5.	Entertainment: The traditional dance performance, while initially enjoyable, lacked uniqueness. We were disappointed to realize it was the exact same performance by the same performers we had seen at another 5-star hotel the day before.

While the property itself is undeniably beautiful, we left feeling that our honeymoon deserved more thoughtful and personalized attention. Taj Lake Palace is better suited for those who prioritize heritage ambiance over service or value. For us, it was not the dream-like experience we hoped for on such a significant milestone in our lives.
