A hidden gem!
Located in Menteng, Kaum serves various Indonesian food from appetizer to desserts. It serves wine, beer and liquor. It's a bit pricey but worth the money! It has nice dark comfy old ambience, the waitress serves very well and super fast! Kaum plays sing along 70's-80's Indonesian slow music that makes you want to stay a bit longer while sipping the Javanese tea. A great place.

Came here for an amazing birthday celebration. I with I could remember everything that we ordered, but I can confidently say it was all delicious. The fish was super tasty, as was the curry dish. And they even brought out a birthday cake at the end. Highly recommend!

Loved the grand, cafeteria, hall-like venue. It's different. The food itself was also grand. The nasi goreng was perfectly executed, the satay was juicy, and the bebek was crispy. What more could one ask for? Well, coffee and cendol, apparently, which were also refreshingly good; the former accompanied by some banana crisps, which was clever. Nice place to dine all around.

The foods were very nice and the service was excellent. The soup that we had was amazingly good. The sate was not hot but delicious and the dessert was surprisingly nice. We would love to come back again.

Kaum is top notch when it comes to authentic local Indonesian food. The beef was executed perfectly. Portions were also very generous. The ambiance was very nice and relaxing. The service was amazing, too. The people who worked there were so nice, friendly, and very polite. The cocktail was tasty as well, just about the right amount of alcohol. The prices were very friendly as well. I ordered two dishes, an order of rice, and a cocktail, and it only cost me less than $40!
