This is a beautiful and modern hotel. The best part is the huge hot springs pool that you can swim. Yes, it has comfortable temperature during winter!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Chef's Table experience was very nice.
You can also visit a private Japanese garden next to the hotel.
It is a bit on the expensive side. I surely recommend this hotel.

Absolute beautiful property with nice service, neat room and good breakfast.
I wish the outdoor pool open earlier before my breakfast time.
Dinning menu is on the expensive side.
Happy hour drink is 1000 yen but the wine list selection is limited.
We have a great time there.

This is possibly the best hotel/resort I've stayed at. The service is impeccable, just right without being too overbearing. Each staff member does their absolute best to make your stay wonderful. For example, my wife wasn't feeling well for breakfast and wasn't able to go to the dining area, so they send some food up to her.

As Hilton Diamond, we were given the choice of an upgrade between private onsen room and top floor room with a view. We went with the view, as the room still had a bathtub you could use. I like that they give you a choice rather than choosing for you.
They offer some snacks in the room complimentary also.

Many people complained about the breakfast, but I thought it was good. It's not a full on buffet like you see in other hotels, but I thought the choices were all high quality, especially the Japanese breakfast.

The Japanese garden should look very nice during the fall and spring. It was winter time when we went so it wasn't blooming.

20-30 min ride to Kyoto main city. I think it's reasonable, you can still go into the city and spend some time if you wish. Of course, you can also just relax at the hotel. The room is plenty big enough to relax and there's a tea house also.

If you want to go to 7-11, ask the staff for the shortcut route so you don't have to walk 20 min.

If you have visited Kyoto for several times, it’s worth considering staying at this resort in your next Kyoto trip to explore the Takagamine area.

In my opinion, the very impressive architecture of this resort is a wonderful mix of Japanese traditional style and global modern design. It delivers a very unique atmosphere of zen and makes its guests enjoy the very peaceful relaxation.

Roku Kyoto and its neighboring facilities form a very nice recreational space where their guests can walk around. The Japanese Garden is amazing in particular. It is not difficult to find the best route to explore the whole place, but it would be better if the resort staff could offer guests clear directions while checking in.

Where do I begin? What a phenomenal stay here. This is an absolutely gorgeous hotel. Every corner is immaculate. But make no mistake, this is a retreat. Don’t confuse this with just any hotel. You’re here to escape the bustling Japanese metropolis.

There not much around. Especially when it comes to food selection, but the onsite restaurants is excellent.

The tub in the room is excellent for soaking, and I’m still amazed at how fast it filled up.

Did not get to enjoy the heated pool as it was raining. I only wish the property had an indoor public bath.
