We arrived at around 9pm, but the staffs are still very friendly and considerate, the food is awesome, and the atmosphere is amazing!

Excellent yakitori experience! We did not book so turned up before opening and asked the staff if there were any places. We were in luck as there were two for the first dinner slot (at 18:00). There was another foreign couple taking a chance like us and they were offered a later slot. We were seated upstairs and were provided with an English menu. Ordered a large selection and for the next hour or so the meals kept coming at a comfortable pace. All meals were excellent even the more novel ones, such as the gizzard or innards. Highly recommend, although probably saver to book.

Extraordinary restaurant, the service was absolutely great. It was a very authentic Japanese experience, very cozy and intimate place ( dining on the floor, hot towels)
The Yakitori was among the best ever tasted, but you must also try the duck breast and the pepper rice. Great sake and good wines available also.

Wow, everything about our meal here was just fabulous! Our hotel had recommended Hitomi for yakitori as another place I was looking to reserve wasn’t open on tue. Thankfully the hotel also managed to get us a reservation here because we saw a few people being turned away as they were full.

It’s a small cosy and charming place they have and we had the luxury of sitting by the counter to watch the chef in action. It was so obvious how much passion he has for cooking and we loved being able to see whatever he was doing. Of course, all the food we ordered was fabulous and I love how it wasn’t over seasoned so you really taste the freshness of the produce. Our favs were prob the heart, skin, thigh with salt, tail, yaki onigiri and the meatballs. Would highly recommend having a meal here because you’re gonna love it! Also, service was really warm and friendly

This was one of, or thee best meals I’ve had in my travels to Japan, which are frequent. The owner was extremely friendly which made the food even that more delicious. Each piece of chicken was succulent and perfectly seasoned. Fried chicken skin was ordered multiple times, it was that good. The staff was extremely accommodating. Make sure to make a reservation. I would plan a trip to Kyoto just to come back here.
