The Palace Hotel is truly the most beautiful hotel I’ve ever visited. From its stunning architecture to its opulent interiors, every detail exudes elegance and charm. Stayed a week in December with no complaints.  Quintessential Japanese luxury hotel with good service.  I was particularly impressed with room service and house keeping staff who make no mistakes - every order on time , every day cleaning on time. Rooms large, well lit; and very quiet which is what we were looking for.

Japan hospitality at its finest. Breakfast was superb;  the vibe was luxurious and elegant; and the concierge desk - super helpful (especially chief concierge Mayako).  We liked the location, even though most attractions weren't at a walking distance. But such is Tokyo. I wish the rooms were better sound proofed though.

We went on a family trip to Tokyo for the holidays and had the most wonderful experience at the palace hotel. We had been staying at Palace Hotel for years but tried other nice hotels in the last few years but came back to Palace this time and were impressed all over again. The service went above and beyond, the architecture was stunning, and the rooms were both spacious and beautifully designed—classic yet modern. The hotel's location is perfect, just a stone’s throw from Ginza, but in a peaceful area that offers a serene retreat. It was worth every penny, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Got a room with balcony and the view was incredible. Concierge service was great. They helped me secure a reservation at a high-end sushi restaurant on short notice. The hotel is also right next to the subway station, which makes it very easy to get around. The tempura restaurant inside the hotel is also highly recommended.

Yes, as other reviewers have mentioned it's an older hotel and hasn't been too updated. The sitting chairs in the room are a bit stiff and the bed is average. The check-in was smooth but certainly not friendly. There is free internet but not free water. Room is clean but minimal. Even the bathroom supplies are basic (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, razor, toothbrush and tissues). Last time I stayed here it was comfortable and the food was decent. At very least it's very close to many metro lines and Tokyo station and the royal palace.

The hotel is well kept and neat but feels very dated. Everything looks/feels old and well-worn. Look at the pick if the nightstand/clock, and shower. It looks like it was stolen from the 1960s. Bathroom too is dated with what looks to be a retrofitted bidet on the commode. The hotel staff is very polite and attentive. This is my first trip to Japan so I don't have other properties to compare this to, but definitely below the bar set by modern business properties in Europe. That said, excited to be here and experience the food/culture.

Maybe not quite as grand as the name suggests, this is perhaps just a notch above a Premier Inn sort of standard in terms of décor and facilities. But the service is excellent, it's very clean and has a few nice complementary touches such as bottled water in the rooms. I can't quite stretch to five stars though.

This hotel is a decent choice for the price. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms were a decent size, and the breakfast was free at either the buffet or at the Japanese restaurant in the basement. The location was great in that it was close to the Imperial Palace, but it is in the business center so there is not a lot to do after dark within walking distance. The lounge on the top floor was not busy the two times I checked it out, and there is no fitness center. Mr Mayer is the closest pub and a worthwhile option. The breakfast was decent but more limited than other Asian hotel buffets I've tried. The front desk and concierge were very friendly. There is a convenient airport bus that goes to Haneda for just 12 US$.

Grand Palace has a majestic presents with it's 23 floors over looking Kudanshita! Hmm....I'm not really lying but maybe that was more like 40 years ago when it was built. Now, the name is probably not so suitable anymore as it has aged quite a bit. Since, it's is a charming hotel that is extremely close to Yasukuni Shrine and Budokan. Whenever there's a concert at Budokan (a famous stadium used as a concert hall), this hotel would be packed. Having stayed here a few times on business, I've tried a few different rooms. Parts of the floors have been renovated but most of the rooms have still been the same since thee 70s.. Still, I love the anonymity of it and how you can freely walk in and out with being checked on since there are so many guests in and out every day. Super convenient as a city hotel for those who needs to move around a lot and see a lots of sights in the CBD.
