Our dinner experience at the restaurant was truly disappointing. During one of the course, I was stunned to find a strand of hair stuck in the red grouper’s meat. After informing the waiters about this issue, one of the waitresses brought the chef to apologize to us. Though an apology was made it was clearly not genuine. The waitress explained that the chef was deeply apologetic but added that all the chefs had short hair, implying that it was my hair that dropped into the food.

Towards the end of the dinner, we kindly asked if there was a refund for my dish as after finding out the hair in the dish, I did not want to eat a second serving of the same dish. After hearing our request, the waitress’ face dropped and refused the request firmly twice. Then, we explained that we felt that their apology would not be sincere enough with no action taken, especially with a Michelin Star standard. Hearing our response, she started demanding what we wanted exactly and made the whole situation seemed like it was our fault.

Her harsh and lack of sincerity attitude made us feel that the service of this restaurant is truly a disappointment.

Perfect kaiseki ever. This is the best kaiseki I have eaten now. Sometimes other kaiseki will have dishes that taste wired. However, you will not find it here. They will have new dishes according to the seasons and always beyond your expectation. Just take your time and enjoy the meal.

I have never left a negative review for any business but felt it was necessary to tell other travelers to avoid this restaurant. This was not only the worst Michelin starred meal we've ever had, it was arguably one of the worst meals we had during our two week trip in Japan. For the price (50k/yen/person) and with 2 stars, we expected this to be the exclamation point on what was otherwise an amazing experience in Japan. You are better going to any restaurant off the street where you will get better tasting food and a more authentic Japanese experience. The food was bland, not creative nor inventive and we were sad to have wasted an evening in Tokyo. I feel like I was scammed

Avoid at all cost. We expected a 2-star Michelin restaurant with dito food and service. After 4 mini courses out of 7 we cancelled this farce. The food is really blend, doesn’t taste like expected from a 2-star chef. We got a starter with fish and on top sea urchin which completely overpowered the fish. Second was a cold soba noodle soup with a fish, not tasteful at all. Next a dashi bouillon with some tofu and one stick of crab, very blend tast. Fourth course was a stuffed pepper with rice. Nothing more and tasted like the rest of the courses.

Service was okay, but very hasty. I later on spoke with a sommelier and was surprised that he did not asked if we were interested in wine. He did not even visited our room at all. I’m not sure, but I suspect that the champagne we got was a sparkling wine (Prosecco?) which also did not taste good.

They still wanted the full amount (220.000 yen!!) but this was really unacceptable for us. They suddenly were also very bad in English, and held me for over 20 minutes while my family was already outside. No sorry, no regrets, no interests in why we broke off this terrible experience. I declined their offer and put a lower amount on the table. They accepted this only the following day.

Again, avoid at all cost. I suspect the former chef has gone away and they forgot to tell the Michelin guide…

I did not take any photos of the courses sadly, but they were so uninspiring that I cannot share this with you. I can however share a picture of the door to our private room which they said was old. I say this is dirty and not properly cleaned for a while now.
