I was lucky enough to get a reservation at “The Pizza Bar on 38th,” considered one of the best pizza restaurants in the world, and the experience was absolutely incredible! They serve a slice from each pizza they make, allowing you to try a variety of delicious flavors throughout your visit. Each pizza was better than the last, with fresh ingredients that melted in your mouth with every bite. The entire experience was top-notch, and I highly recommend it to any pizza lover—definitely a must-try!

It was such a great experience. Everything was so great. It was definitely worth the wait. We were so happy when we finally got a reservation. This great pizza bar is found on the 38th floor of Mandarin  Oriental Tokyo. This dining experience really felt intimate since you get to see the great Pizza Makers work their  magic of creating great pizza. They even explain the ingredients and where they were from. Such a pleasant experience. The Pizza were so delicious! The pizza crust was exceptional! I would really recommend this place. The Pizza makers and the staffs were really nice too. Would definitely love to go back again someday.

Pizza omakase that is said to be one of the best in Asia. It lives up to that name.

There are eight seats only and each person gets one slice of each pizza cut in eight. They give you eight pizza slices so in total you get to eat a whole pizza (plus appetiser and dessert) Tokyo is full of great food but please reserve your tummy for this dinner. They get their seasonal ingredients fresh from local farms and serves pizza with toppings that can be unexpected but goes together very well and tastes really great. (If you are traditionalist in terms of pizza and find it blasphemous to put wagyu on pizza then maybe this is not the place for you) The chefs prepare the pizza on the counter as part of dining experience and they will also show you the pizzas for nice photos which you can show your family and friends.

Reservations are available from two months prior. They are very hard to get (one of the most difficult I’ve done in Japan) so you better either plan your trip early and click it the moment it turns 12am Japan time two months before your meal or sign up to the waiting list and keep a close monitor to your email. The price is also not cheap but it’s worth the hassle and the money.

I won’t lie, I was initially a little skeptical about a pizza omakase but Pizza Bar exceeded my expectations. Pizza was delicious and inventive, ingredients were fresh, and the chefs were friendly and engaging to boot. Great dining experience and hope to be back someday

Such a great experience! We booked it a few months in advance and it was worth the planning. The ingredients are either locally sourced or imported from Italia; it is a farm-to-table concept, and everything tasted so fresh. Everyone was extremely friendly. The pizzas were phenomenal; and of course the pizzino was my favorite. 10/10 recommend!
