Tbh I felt the food was so-so. My most favorite was the crab meat cheese gratin. Everything else was bland and didn’t really stand out in terms of plating / execution. I was able to get a booking the day before the New Year, maybe that should have been a warning sign!

Service was alright, the chef didn’t bother to explain the item a few times. I was quite disappointed that it didn’t have a Japanese (or English) menu that I could take home.

Atmosphere was great though, good to see the chef preparing food in front of me.

I personally don’t recommend this place..

It was a very delicious Kaiseki meal. One of the better ones we've had in Japan.

Only issue we has was that we were a bit disappointed that the Chef and Staff did not introduce or explain the dishes to us. But otherwise was a great experience!

つきだしは柚子の器に入った越前ガニ。紅白で正月を彩る料理。
魚はアオリイカとマグロ。仕入の難しい時期ですが、熟成によってねっとり食感と魚の風味の余韻が続く良いお刺身。
サワラは藁焼きにしてあり、ニラのソースがかけてあります。この組み合わせは初ですが、肉感が増す素晴らしい一皿。
シメは肉飯。ゴボウとショウガの風味がよく合います。
お酒もとてもよく。

どれも最後まで美味しく頂きました。
2人で4.7万円ほどと良心的。
鯛めし(この日はやってませんでした)が名物だそうで、また訪れたいと思います。

Visited for lunch on January 1st, the food and service were both wonderful.
The soup stock is Echizen crab served in a yuzu bowl. Dishes that decorate the New Year with red and white colors.
The fish are bluefin squid and tuna. Although it is difficult to purchase this sashimi at this time, it is a good quality sashimi that has a sticky texture and a lingering fishy flavor due to aging.
The Spanish mackerel is straw-grilled and topped with chive sauce. It's my first time trying this combination, but it's a wonderful dish that adds to the meatiness.
The meal is meat rice. The flavors of burdock and ginger go well together.
The drinks are also very good.

Everything was delicious until the end.
It costs about 47,000 yen for two people, which is reasonable.
I heard that their specialty is sea bream rice (I didn't try it that day), so I would like to visit again.
