During our recent stay at the InterContinental Tokyo Bay, we experienced a mix of positives and areas for improvement, leading us to rate it 4 stars. We booked a room with two twin beds and access to the club lounge. However, we were disappointed when the hotel charged an additional 4,000 yen for our child but failed to provide her portion during our initial lounge visit.

The hotel’s location is in a tranquil area, but it’s not in close proximity to major train stations. The nearest main station is about a 12-minute walk, which we found somewhat inconvenient. Our room on the 23rd floor offered a panoramic view of the river, which was the highlight of our stay. However, the room felt a bit dated and small. The downfall will be no microwave offering at any where at the hotel.

The club lounge provided breakfast with a limited food selection, including omelettes, Japanese breakfast items, and pancakes, though beverages were plentiful. Afternoon tea was enjoyable, but the dinner offerings were limited, making it less worthwhile.

The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Despite the pleasant aspects, we might consider other accommodations for our next visit to Tokyo.

This hotel is just perfect. We had a bay view from our room. The room was very nice! It was exceptionally clean, housekeeping did an excellent job. The continental breakfast was the best I have ever had! Fresh food, just incredible! Everyone is so polite and friendly. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Tokyo.

We had a fantastic experience at this hotel, which perfectly blended comfort, convenience, and exceptional service. The location is quiet and tranquil, however, offers easy access to both Haneda Airport (HND) and central Tokyo via the nearby train station—ideal for anyone traveling through or exploring the city.

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always going above and beyond to assist with any request, whether it was helping us with a package shipment or securing a reservation at a local restaurant. Their warm hospitality truly made us feel at home.

Our room on the 14th floor was serene and spacious, with a great view of the city. A delightful surprise was the thoughtful touch of Epsom salts for the bath—perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing.

The breakfast (gifted to us by my father who was also traveling with us) was a highlight of our stay, offering a delicious spread that included both traditional Japanese dishes and American classics. It was the perfect way to fuel up for a busy day of exploring.

We’re already looking forward to returning to this wonderful hotel at the end of our Japan trip. Highly recommend it for both its convenience and the memorable experience it offers.

As a long-time guest of InterContinental Hotels and a Diamond Ambassador member of the IHG Group, I find the InterContinental Tokyo Bay to offer breathtaking views, good service, and an absolutely dreadful Club Lounge experience. 🙂‍↔️

While dining in the lounge, we specifically ordered the potato set, but the server brought us the seafood set instead. We had clearly mentioned that seafood could trigger allergies, yet there was no apology from them throughout the entire experience. 🥲🥲🥲

Aside from that, the staff here are some of the coldest I have ever encountered, though it’s possible there are a few exceptionally warm and welcoming ones.😬

I have been traveling for about 20yrs and this hotel and it's location has been one of my favorites!
1. The location is so close to the Takeshiba stop on the metro line and 10-15min walk to JR line, either way it is accessible.
2. At night this is a quiet area, so you can truly rest from the hustle and bustle of the day.
3. The rooms are large for Japan/Tokyo standards, complimentary waters daily, heated toilet, bathtub with bath salts that are refilled daily
4.The breakfast buffet is a perfect way to start the day, for a quieter time get there between 7-8am and the view is quite lovely.
5. The staff are incredibly trained, sweet, resourceful. Mirano the concierge, helped me book a massage and made arrangements for our luggage to be shipped and stored at our next hotel. Also when we left, my sister left her cellphone in the taxi we took from hotel to train station. She called the hotel and they called the taxi company who tracked down the cellphone!! How amazing 💗
