This place is amazing. Know what you’re getting into and make sure this is what you want: to focus on some very well-curated music with very high quality analog sound. Yes, you will be shushed if you’re talking over the music. No, it’s not because you’re a foreigner.

Great place and great vibe.
Unfortunately they had technical problems with the sound system. No one seemed to notice it, not staff or guests but we asked if the sound was really correct. They assured us that it was correct. No bass and almost only one speaker? After one hour someone corrected the amps and the sound bloomed out … it was clearly wrong before that. The track that changed it was “beck- looser” … a bit ironic.

I’ve only been here once and I’m sure this was just a very unfortunate and unusual situation. When the sound was corrected it sounded very good.

I can highly recommend a visit.

Can’t believe the treatment we just received while at this “bar.” I was apart of a group of 4 and was told to wait 5-10 minutes for a seat inside. The male hostess had us wait in the foyer which is the equivalent of a coat closet and took our drink orders while we stood and waited. 35 minutes rolls around and it’s clear we aren’t getting a seat. As we closed out our tab we noticed he charged us the cover charge which is absolutely ridiculous as we were never seated inside. This is the first pompous establishment we’ve set foot it in Tokyo and the hostess could not be more rude. Enjoy our American music.

Solo visit on a Monday night, stayed a couple of hours and downed 3 delicious G&Ts. Music was consistently excellent, free snacks were yummy and vibe was chilled. Love it!

It is a nice old school record bar with a nice ambiance.  They serve mostly whiskeys with a broad menu.  Negatives - smoking inside, rude staff.  Note they don't allow talking or photos and are ruthlessly aggressive about enforcing those 2 rules.
