An indie gallery that houses local artists - easy to connect with them, discuss and get pulled into the vibe of the place. Interesting murals on the walls, and a whole wooden back yard full of art to explore - worth going for a walk to get a different feel in the area. No entrance - just step in!

Update.  Went to the cafe today.  Great coffee, friendly staff, nice atmosphere.

Art. I was beyound impressed with the quality of art.  The art on display is constantly changing.  New artists come to display their work.  Photographs,  painting, jewelry,  silversmith and much more.  The treehouse cafe is fun for coffee.

Super nice showcase of young artists’ work in an eye catching location. I bought an amazing piece of work for under $100 USD right from the artist :) There’s also a graffiti wall over to the side with markers sitting there you can add your own doodle

Design Festa Gallery....you got to check this place out should you be in the area! There's a okonomiyaki restaurant in the back of the gallery which it super neat along with small independent gallery displays of artists who rent the space to showcase some work! There are different wings and components to this space, so don't be shy: wander and explore stairways and narrow alleys in this neat space! It's free to come in an browse, and many of the employees there speak English! They are super friendly and genuinely want you to enjoy what the place has to offer! It's a fun hideaway for a cup of coffee or a meal from the busy Harajuku streets. I hope to come back soon!

I absolutely LOVE this art gallery and its mission. It provides really cheap exhibition space (like $5 USD a day) for artists, so visitors are treated to a delightful array of contemporary art. On my visit yesterday, there were two artists actually working (and one finished!) on murals. It was lovely sitting there watching them work. The space holds an eclectic array of art, but all are interesting and thought-provoking. Even the office space is open to visitors; it has great murals and offers free tea (persimmon leaves, mugwort leaves). There is free fast wifi, bathrooms, a cafe, and an okonomiyaki restaurant. This is a must-visit in the Harajaku area. It's an absolute delight and it's all free :O

Interesting art gallery with fascinating local art pieces for sale/on display. Tokyo is such a unique city, and I found this art gallery reflects that. I also enjoyed chatting with some of the artist. Really cool scene. Just be sure to watch your forehead.

Super fun although hard to find. At the gallery you never know what is going on. Some of the rooms were empty but it is a promising place.
