Found this cozy little coffee shop while exploring the neighborhood — such a lucky find! They have a wide range of beans to choose from, and the pour-over was done with so much care and skill. You can really taste the quality in every sip. Honestly, it was a much better experience than the Blue Bottle nearby. Feels like one of those local gems you’re glad you didn’t miss while traveling. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area!

We were lucky to get seats for 3 at 3pm on a Tuesday afternoon upon arrival. The cafe was quite small and could sit only 10 at the high bar table. Friendly service staff.
The hot mocha expresso was rich and awesome.
The carrot cake and pecan cakes were delicious. Moist and not overly sweet.
The chocolate cookie was quite hard but went well when dipped into hot espresso.
Highly recommend!

Arrive early. Japan’s coffee shops don’t open early like in America, but Verve opens up at 7am! Which was great for us, we’re early risers.

I got the Latte Valencia and my wife got the Oat Spiced Latte. I have never been this happy with a coffee order at a coffee shop…in my life. So damn good. The coffee is well balanced. The Latte Valencia is so unique with the orange zest and slight acidity. I wish I could get this at home!

Also the cheesecake was solid!

We’ll be back again before we leave Tokyo!

Extremely nice coffee they have here. They were hesitant to change the beans for me when I requested for a change but obliged as a favour (thank you!). The nitro cold brew and their hot latte with oat milk; fantastic taste and coffee aroma. A hint of sweetness, not much acidity. We seldom come across nice coffee during our 3 weeks in Japan, but this is the nicest we have so far. When we are back, we will come here for our coffee kick. Nice staff as well!

Great coffee, great service and experience!
Did the normal latte and macchiato at first, bought some beans and figured out that we got a free drink with each coffee bag, so we came back to enjoy our free drinks along with waffle and grilled cheese sandwich!

Really recommended if you're around the area.

Easy to find, great menu selection and friendly staff. The flow of the cafe is simple. Small space if you wanted to stay and enjoy your coffee awhile. The iced latte was spot on and the whisky flavor was a nice touch to try a different kind of latte. Since my Japanese wasn't very good, ordering and paying and asking for takeout was a bit bumpy but still a pleasant experience. Now I'm practicing my Japanese language skills so I won't be nervous next time.

A pick up as soon as you walk in the door, Concrete Schoolyard playing overhead. And the wonderful smell, oh the smell!!! They've got a sleek tasting bar where you can try up to ten different coffees -- it honestly looks like a science experiment in the best way possible. Beakers, precision pours, and baristas who know their craft. I ordered the Valencia Latte, a Tokyo-exclusive specialty. It's a hot espresso drink with your choice of milk, infused with Valencia orange -- that bright, citrusy lift -- and maybe a hint of vanilla or citrus syrup. Think espresso meets sunshine. Paired it (unintentionally perfectly) with an Earl Grey and Orange Peel Scone from Sawamura. Didn't plan to match the flavors, but the combo was ridiculously harmonious -- fragrant, textured, and just sweet enough. The baristas were friendly and fast, and the shop is a short walk from our hotel. The latte was so good it ruined office coffee for me -- seriously, I'd help fund a barista if it meant this level of flavor at work. Bonus: they hand you a note for ¥200 off your next drink if you get it during the same visit. My husband drinks four cups a day -- do the math, it's a win. The crowd was a cool mix of locals and travelers -- Japanese students, Swedes, Canadians, Americans -- all soaking in the calm hum of great music and caffeine. Bottom line: sure, you can get Verve in California, but this Tokyo version has an extra layer of style and precision. Come for the coffee, stay for the experience -- it's a full-on performance in a cup.

One of my favorite coffee places in LA and was surprised to find them in Tokyo. The coffee is so so smooth. Workers are super friendly. Has a lot of seats so nice to place to sip coffee and chill.

The hints of citrus in the latte threw me off in the beginning but it actually went so well with the osmanthus and coffee Pound cake was a little dry? but I still enjoyed it! Great spot for a shopping break!

Verve Coffee Roasters Shinjuku Station reminded me of many US coffee shops. Coffee was decent. Some seats inside the shop and there were also some outside as well. They take credit cards and the service was fast.

Wow! Coffee is really good here! If you are a coffee snob, you should try here. The color, crème , the smell and finish notes are right on! Their pastries are really yummy too. I got waffle with raspberries apples jam. Waffle was crispy outside and soft inside. Jam wasn't too sweet. Cake with apricot was soft and moist. Banana with walnut was a little more firm. Both were not too sweet. Service was nice and fast. Employees were friendly!

Verve was perfect as always. Great baristas and great drinks. Japan is catching on to coffee and I went to a couple of local shops that were quite good. But I also had plenty of unelevated coffee while there. Running into Verve was a pleasant treat and they do not disappoint!

If I known the coffee shops home base was based out of Santa Cruz, CA, I probably would have passed. Nothing on the menu appeared extraordinarily unique, so I ordered a drip. My girlfriend didn't order something so we had to take our coffee to go. Was hoping to kick it here for a bit. Minus one star for that.
