Crowded, ugh….but the coffee is delicious, so it still might be worth your time. It is just around the corner from the Shinjuku Tourist Information and the blooming cherry blossom trees (March). Look for a blue bottle painted in the window.

Good coffee, reasnable prices for Tokyo. Lots of seats. They were not happy with me even bringing baked items from the nearby bakery. Seats by the door get really cold.

Expensive coffee but nice and smooth. I think they only have 1 size if I remember correctly. The atmosphere was like being inside the Apple store but with coffee. I got their iced latte and it disappeared very fast.

First time ever going to Blue Bottle cafe. Yes, going to the one in Tokyo is easier than going down to LA haha. Anyways, the server knew I was practicing my Japanese so she was very patient with me. Environment: very spacious and of course the theme of mostly white a little bit of blue. Very simple and it was connected to a few other stores but still cozy and the center was pretty much the baristas and we kind of sit around them. Staff: very friendly. Aside from the one who took my order the other baristas were also very kind and made sure that they got our drinks correctly. Drink/Food: 1. I got an iced latte. I was asking the server that I didn't want sour coffee and was asking which or what kind of drinks she would recommend. She did mention the cold brew with some milk would make the cold brew less sour but I am quite sensitive. I asked about latte and she said it was a good choice too. It was so rich, strong, and smooth. Yes, this costs a bit more but if you convert it to USD it's probably cheaper drinking it in Tokyo lol. Anyways, it was delicious and even when the ice melted it didn't affect the flavor and the intensity of the coffee. I'm no expert but I really enjoyed it! 2. I also got their savory meat pie. They heated it up! It was a puff pastry with meat and veggies inside. Though it was a bit small it was filling. It wasn't too salty and it was packed with flavors and spices. I really enjoyed it! I don't remember the exact cost but I think it was around 900yen so maybe $6USD or so. Compared to other places, yes it costs more but compared to America...$6 is nothing, especially something so good haha. It was a good experience and if only I stayed in Japan longer, I would come back and maybe try another drink and a sweet pastry.

Was unaware that Blue Bottle Coffee was from the US. We were out exploring and happened upon this location in the mall, so we decided to stop in and try it. I got the New Orleans, and the husband got a Latte. Both were delicious and light on the palette! Service was fast, and there was a lot of room to walk around. It was quite busy even for being early in the morning, so we weren't able to snag a seat right away, but finally managed to get a spot by the window. Will definitely stop in if I see a location in the US!

Good coffee no seating. I came in and ordered my coffee expecting some seating to open up once my coffee was ready. Unfortunately, people who hadn't ordered were stealing any open seating and tag teaming to order with their friends. I ordered a cookie which is fine. A meat pie with GREAT. And a coffee which I have no complaints about. Unfortunately I couldn't sit down and enjoy these things. Although I could have well eaten and drank my coffee in the time it took the seat stealers to order...

Thursday May 4 73°F 47% Humidity Greenery Day - Golden Week Holiday There were lots of American chains that I really wanted to try! I know I should be going to local eateries when traveling abroad, but I like comparing the menu to the locations I have at home. During my 14 day trip I tried to limit it to Starbucks and McDonald's only, but made room for one more place. Hailing from Oakland, Blue Bottle is a trendy third wave coffee shop known for their high quality drinks. You'll find them on the first floor of a shopping mall called NEWoMan. It's right next to busy Shinjuku Station, so it can be hard to find an open seat. The menu is pretty much identical to what you'll see in the States. The New Orleans iced coffee (¥634 or $4.50 USD) was creamy, and the chicory gave it a nice toasty flavor. Cane sugar was a bit subtle, and the drink came with too much ice. Couldn't find a trash can anywhere in the store (let alone the city). I approached one of the employees there, and they kindly took my empty cup and disposed of it. Japanese love their coffee and Blue bottle Shinjuku does not disappoint. Clad in white and tan interior, cleanliness is an art and their coffee speaks for itself. Latte, Cappucino, Gibraltar and even hot chocolate which ever kind of coffee you order... it will come with its own heART. Taste is Amazing!

Not a surprise but Tokyo has some pretty good coffee shops too! Blue Bottle Coffee Shinjuku Cafe is, as you may have guessed, a hop and a skip a way from a major transportation hub Shinjuku Station. Super busy people running here sprinting there... nice to find a good coffee spot to settle into and watch live pass you by! My gf and our friend joined us and we just took it easy for about an hour before training it to a busy shopping area in Tokyo! It's nice to have these quiet moments... The shop was pretty stylish and service was quick and friendly... I got my usually an Americano with a piece of pound cake... The coffee was good... nice and strong but not bitter, but I found it was lukewarm.... Not super hot like I like it. I didn't want to be an ugly Canadian and complain so I just smiled and grinned and bared it (I complained on Yelp instead! Hahaha). Overall a nice spot to unwind! Give it a try if you're in the area!
