We came early in the morning just before they open to get some fresh bread to start off the day and we were one of the few in line but to be fair there wasn’t much of a line in the beginning. We got our bread and it was one of the best melon pan I had in Japan, it was soft, crunchy, chewy in a way that made us just amazed how good melon pan can be if done just right and we would definitely come back again for the other flavors that we weren’t able to get since we were already full

This famous melon pan place probably has the BEST melon pan in the world.
Line can be a bit long but moves quickly.
I recommend the plain melon pan because the texture is so great that adding whipped cream only detracts from the eating experience

Oh my GOD this was so good. I thought it would be melon flavored but it’s not. It’s just a gloriously delicious sugar-crusted sweet bread that’s got a crunch on the outside and soft fluffy inside. It was served hot and fresh, and they were super efficient getting through the line of people waiting so it took less than 2 minutes. We got the one with whipped cream for 600 yen and it was just perfect. The whipped cream isn’t too sweet, and the bread was the perfect level of sweet. Might be our favorite treat we’ve had in Japan to be honest.

One of the best. I’ve had many melon pan across Hong Kong and Taiwan, but this one I want to say is the best. Of course, each countries melon pan had its own USP, but this is by far my favourite.

Come early to avoid queue. Google says open at 10 AM, but I was there at 9:30 and they were already open, no queue. Cash only!

I had the chance to try the ice cream melon pan, and it was absolutely delicious! The contrast between the warm, crispy melon pan and the creamy, cold ice cream was perfect. The melon pan had a satisfying crunch on the outside while staying soft and airy on the inside. I tried both the vanilla and matcha ice cream, and they were equally amazing—vanilla was rich and smooth, while the matcha had a deep, earthy flavor that paired beautifully with the melon pan.

The service was impressively quick. Despite the queue, it moved really fast, so the wait was barely noticeable. This is definitely a must-try for anyone who loves unique desserts or just wants a satisfying snack on the go!
