Eating at a Michelin restaurant doesn’t have to mean spending hundreds of dollars, and this place is proof of that. I first visited Nakiryu during my first-ever trip to Japan and came back again on my second visit. The ramen is fantastic, and to me, it will always be worth the wait. Definitely recommended!

The tall, long haired male server had a shockingly poor attitude, which I did not expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. He frequently stared at customers, and I had no idea what he was looking at. Moreover, his way of speaking lacked any polite language. Someone like him doesn't seem suited for the service industry.

The dish was just an ordinary bowl of ramen. The service was slow, and I was puzzled to find that the oil in my soup had already begun to solidify by the time it was served.

Showed up right when they opened. They have a digital display that you can use to make reservations, and was able to reserve a spot for 1PM(there were many more for later in the day), and the machine printed out a ticket.
The ramen was so thick and rich that it almost wasn’t a liquid or broth to me anymore. Very spoiled.

Nakiryu Ramen definitely lived up to the hype! This 1 Michelin star ramen spot offered the best ramen I've ever had to date. I opted for the tonkatsu, and it was phenomenal. The broth was creamy with deep umami flavors and had a nice kick to it. The pork was incredibly tender, simple yet elegant in flavor.

For those planning to visit, I recommend arriving at the restaurant around 7:30-8:00 am to guarantee seating. You choose the time you want to eat at, with 11 am being the earliest slot. The ticket counter provides a ticket for your chosen time, and you return at that time to order your ramen at the machine.

Additionally, the gyoza was outstanding! Overall, Nakiryu provided an exceptional dining experience that I highly recommend.

Michelin failed me, again! This shoyu ramen (Michelin ever gave it one star, not sure is it dropped to Bib) gave me 1 out of 5 satisfaction. Now I dont rate food as nice or not cos everyone got own taste bud n like n dislike, I do my own rating as in does the food satisfy my taste bud n soul. Look at the picture, left half bowl of noodle, it was the soft texture type,  noodle must be firm n good to me. Its either overcooked or didnt cook well, or thats the nature of its noodle. Not my cup of tea. The shoyu soup, I finished it, not say very good, but normal and clear and warm stomach. No Q for me, went at 8am and got a ticket for 1130am lunch. Go back again? Nope!!!
