Had time to drop by MOA and took the opportunity to have lunch at TIM HO WAN. Their baked buns on post really are inviting, so we had one order of it and one Black truffle mushroom chicken buns…comparing the two, the orginal is better based on my preference. steamed spinach dumplings, vermicelli roll with bbq pork, tofu with pork floss and pork dumpling with spicy sauce, though not that spicy, are also good. Pork spare ribs rice a little blunt and their chow mein, not that special, just so so… but I recommend their dimsums, really a must try.

When I crave for dim sum, this is one of the places I always consider going to. Quality of the food is almost uniform in all their branches. It is always very reliable. Their pork buns and the beancurd roll are my favourites.

The service can be really slow. They had a lot of floor staff but weren’t very attentive. The atmosphere was also not very nice. Tables and utensils were not very clean, and the AC was leaking in the 1st table we sat at. Good thing their food is always good.

There was a wait when we arrived. And to be seated you have to inform the receptionist.  We waited for about 5 minutes. You order thru a preprinted slip.  This is replaced with the actual order slip for the kitchen with the info that prep time will be 15 to 20 minutes.  Food is served as soon as they are cooked.  We ordered spring rolls with egg whites, prawn dumplings, fishball and wanton noodle soups.  The hot soup was a plus factor.  Reasonably priced.

This was my first visit to Tim Ho Wan, and if all Tim Ho Wans are like this, I honestly find them overrated.

The tables were sticky, suggesting they weren't cleaned properly. At one point, I touched a surface and ended up with sauce on my hands without knowing its source.

The food was adequate for the price—good enough, but nothing particularly memorable.
