We had such a nice experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and every dish was amazing. It’s hard to pick a favorite, but our top three from the Omakase menu were the Salmon, Scallop, and Milk Pudding dessert. Everything was beautifully presented, and it was clear that a lot of care went into the preparation of each dish.

What truly made our visit extra special was the staff. They were not only incredibly friendly and attentive but also clearly very well-trained and professional.

We can’t wait to visit again and highly recommend this place!

I was on a quest to find something interesting for dinner and this restaurant caught my eye with its promise of Asian and Japanese flavors and positive reviews. The restaurant itself is quite small, so reservations are recommended. The interior is decorated in dark colors, and it could have used a bit more light.

Food:
We opted for their set menu, which included 11 dishes and the option to order two additional dishes, which we did. The additional dishes were: the oyster with coconut sauce, which was refreshing and a good start. Next, we also had uni toast, as uni is something I love and know very well. In this case, the uni was of average quality, but overall the combination in this dish was successful. I enjoyed the balance with the chicken liver. Then we moved on to the main menu. We found the red snapper to be a bit underwhelming. The jelly didn’t complement the fish very well, and the broth served alongside it lacked flavor and saltiness, a weak start. We were afraid the whole menu would be a flop, but we were pleasantly surprised by the following dishes. The tuna was delicious and fresh. Its dense, slightly fatty texture melted in your mouth. The salmon showcased its freshness. The lamb brought an exotic twist to the pan-Asian cuisine, the spices were perfectly chosen, and the crispy batter added structure. The scallop was the star of the evening. The perfectly smooth, airy sauce with a hint of creaminess and the well-prepared deep-fried scallop created an amazing balance of flavors, and the touch of caviar added an interesting note. Another dish that truly impressed us was the wagyu katsu with a sweet umami sauce. The meat literally melted in your mouth and had a rich, meaty flavor. Every bite was bursting with juiciness and flavor. Of the desserts, I was particularly struck by the chocolate cake. Its rich chocolate flavor was perfectly balanced with the added pinch of salt and the marshmallow sauce.

Service:
The service was good. The waiters were friendly and explained the concept of each dish. Sometimes the chef would come to the table to demonstrate the cooking. The food arrived at a comfortable pace, we had time to eat everything, but we weren't bored either.

Conclusion:
We enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. Some dishes were truly exceptional and it was an interesting experience. It's difficult to find high-quality restaurants in Manila where you can truly enjoy your food, and this restaurant is one of the few that managed to surprise us. Don't hesitate to order the set menu, it's truly strong.

Overall we had a great time and it is a 4.5/5. We were happy with most of the food and would recommend to try their Omakase course.

The Uni Toast (ordered as an extra) was delicious. The Uni and Chicken Liver fit well together in taste and texture. We enjoyed it.

The tofu was smooth and silky (liquid, not solid) and the salmon and heart of palm fit well together.

The Hamachi was actually a sort of soup. The Hamachi itself tasted fresh and delicious. The soup itself was sweet with some sourness from yuzu. This was one of our favorites!

The Lobster dish was outstanding. This was another of our favorites! The lobster was cooked perfectly and it was so nice to eat both in flavor and in texture. The sauce is coconut milk based so you can really taste the coconut. The pine nuts were also roasted so well and I really loved them.

The Scallops were good. The sauce around it was like a liquid mashed potato that tasted good. The scallops themselves were soft and smooth. It fit well together in my opinion.

The Lamb Tart was just okay. I felt like it could be better. Maybe compared to the dishes it just didn't stand out that much in flavor. I also would have preferred it without the mint jelly anymore as it muted the taste. It came with pickled mushroom and radish, and I really liked the radish as it wasn't too sour.

The Pompano was good with the sauces. The fish itself had a tamarind sauce on top that made it sour/salty and yummy. The spinach sauce tasted like tom yum in a sense. The gorgonzola foam for me lacked taste though when I expected a strong taste knowing gorgonzola cheese. I don't usually eat fish, but I finished it.

The Duck was also good especially the sauce that came with it. The sauce was sweet but not too sweet, savory with the duck fat. The duck itself was also flavorful, but some parts seemed a bit too chewy. The eggplants are good, just not the dark black mashed eggplant. The candied red cabbage was unique, so it depends on your tastes.

The Gyukatsu was good/okay. The best part of it is the sauce which was savory and delicious. The Gyukatsu itself was soft and tender with the flavor tasting good, but it had a weirdly rough texture in some parts (not the breading though). The celeriac that came with it was also too sweet, so we didn't really like it.

The hand roll was disappointing for me. Nothing stood out in the dish in terms of flavor. Everything felt muted in a sense. You could only really taste the crispy rice. The tamago is really soft and silky though.

The Guava Sorbet was okay. It just tasted like a regular sorbet and it was only okay because the meringue is there.

The Milk Cake was a milk pudding (liquid) with a hojicha pannacotta and a sort of sweet cake under it. The best part of it was the milk pudding, which in itself became one of our favorites and a good end to the meal. The hojicha really needed the milk pudding because it had a strong hojicha taste so it kind of fit well. The cake was sweet and sort of salty, but it was just okay. Actually if it was just all milk pudding as dessert, I think we would have been happier.

The drinks were just okay. I wasn't really fan of both drinks because they were both too sour. It was more okay when the ice melted.

Service was great though! They were very attentive to our needs and also service was quick.

Easily one of the best dining experiences in the area. Food was fresh and everything we ordered was on point.

If there was one dish that encapsulates the technique, creativity and vision of 12/10, just try their uni sandwich. It 👏🏼 is 👏🏼 perfection👏🏼.

The attentive service complemented the care put in their food. Our sake carafe never went empty for the entire duration of the meal. Many thanks to Nikkie for making my bro’s graduation celebration extra special with a surprise dessert — it’s always the small but thoughtful things that make a huge impact. ❤️

Gonna be back for sure!

First visit and tried ala carte.

Excellent service. Staff are attentive and more than happy to explain the different dishes.

Great food. The dishes are top-notch. Loved  the eggplant (best I have ever tried), spicy tuna, and salmon sashimi. These were unique dishes.
