This place is a gem!! It's fascinating to see the works of botanical artists across time from the British explorers to locals in recent years. They are so technical and intricate. Left feeling struck by the biodiversity in the region and more appreciative of the efforts to study and conserve it. The building itself is also beautiful and peaceful. I really enjoyed my visit!

It’s new extension therefore there will be a walking distance. Overall very nice and tranquil area. Happy that not crowded so i can enjoy my time there looking at detailed antique botanical drawings. Worth for a visit if you’re nearby botanical gardens.

The staff were very friendly and polite, patiently answering questions and providing enthusiastic service for plant enthusiasts like me, filling the museum with warmth. Thank you very much!

Third hike of 2025 after a busy couple of weeks, and it was a pre-Lunar New Year hike @Gallop Extension!

Being underutilised and under-visited, Gallop Extension was an amazingly quiet place. I went straight to the place once I arrived at Nassim Gate and I was not disappointed! The highlights of Gallop Extension included:

(1) OCBC Arboretum
(2) Forest Discovery Centre
(3) COMO Adventure Grove
(4) Botanical Art Gallery
(5) Mingxin Foundation Rambler's Ridge
(6) HPL Canopy Link

So there were many things to see and experience at one go!

Botanic Gardens, Gallop extension. Relatively new compared to other parts of the garden. Beautifully landscaped with walkways and play area for the kids. Enjoyed my evening walk there.
