This is one of the popular
curry chicken noodles in this hawker centre. Constant queue always spotted. Ordered the  yellow noodles to go with the curry.

Portion wasn't substantial imo for the small version. The chicken was tender, curry was slightly salty & greasy. Be catious if u wanna add the sambal, hv a taste first as i found it to be also salty

Excellent bowl of curry chicken beehoon and yellow noodle. Boss quite friendly and he did chat a bit with some customers, but no harm as i see it as a slight break for him while in a while. Try standing in the tight and hot place the whole day, I also cannot tahan.
Queue about 20 min from 1pm but noted hardly any queue closed to 2pm.

I saw that it had constant queue so even after I had my lunch, I ordered for 2nd round and queued for 20mins. To my surprise it was awarded Michelin bib for current year too. Taste wise it is quite different from ones I had in Bedok but similar to one I had in Brunei KB. Chicken does not taste bland or rough texture. Curry is unique but not to my preference. At $5.5 for a small bowl and $6.5 for large. Good to try if around the area.

Imagine this... U go to this famous restaurant, say a Michelin Gordon Ramsay restaurant and people are queueing up for that. And u see the head chef, ignoring the long wait at the queue, and despite being overly short-handed and still decided to chat with those in the queue. When he/she starts to cook, u can see a delay in the cooking process, and halfway, decides to walk out, as if no one is in line... Maybe for a smoke or to the toilet (I mean we can't really blame someone for doing that yah), how would u feel if u were one of those in line?
And yes, this is what happened here at Heng Kee curry chicken...
I almost wanted to give them a 1 star but here's why they got a 2 instead.

So... It's my 2nd time queuing up here. The first time I queued, I waited for 10min and it didn't move, so I decided to go up to get the other so-called less popular one, takeover for my wife. Didn't really tasted it, so can't comment.
This time, my wife came with me and same thing happened. While waiting, I took a good look to observe what the store uncle was doing... And it's exactly what I mentioned above, chatting, relaxing, going off not sure for what, and in general, taking his own sweet time. His cutting skills look fast and good... But the way he serves up the bowls of curry Mee, poor! If this was a factory process, it would have closed down within a week.
I can't really describe what he was doing, and although I BELIEVE part of those processes was his method to make it taste nicer, but still u have to watch it yourself to understand what I witnessed!

Was the noodles good? My wife said it's good and worth the 45min wait... She also mentioned it's better than the one above. For me, I am not a curry Mee person, but can still give it a decent 7 out of 10. So despite of the hefty price for a bowl of curry Mee in a hawker centre, the food was generally good. I shall not comment too much on that.
But I would like to share, for me, how good or bad a store or restaurant is, is a combination of the taste of food, the price and also the experience. For me, the experience is a 0. The stall uncle obviously does not care about the queue and maybe just wanted the queue to look longer? Will I queue here again? For my wife yes, for myself, never!
So for those who hasn't tried and has time to spare, do give it a shot and also take the chance to observe how they prepare your bowl or curry mee. I suspect u may like the Mee, but not the unreasonable wait.
