Second time back at Waku Ghin to celebrate NYE with the family! We were inside the private dining room and had the view of the water show as well. Every dish was delicious, and having the signature dish - Uni with caviar, is the absolute best. It is a must have when you are here in Waku Ghin!

The first time we came, we were at the chef’s table for the sushi menu and it was really one of the best omakase experience. However, we were bummed that the sushi chef has left and Waku Ghin is currently not offering that anymore. :(

I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at Waku Ghin, and it was an unforgettable dining experience. Each dish was meticulously crafted, showcasing the finest ingredients and exceptional culinary artistry. From the delicate chawanmushi with oyster, topped with vibrant green sauce and edible purple flowers, to the impeccably fresh sashimi selection garnished with grated ginger, soy sauce, and wasabi, every bite was a testament to precision and skill. The lobster claws, beautifully presented on ice with a green leaf garnish, were fresh and sweet, while the luxurious uni topped with caviar delivered an explosion of umami flavors.

The freshly grilled abalone, prepared right before me on the teppan grill, was tender and flavorful, and the grilled prawn, paired with aromatic herbs and seaweed, was equally delightful. A standout was the rich abalone dish served in a velvety sauce and crowned with caviar—a true indulgence. To finish, the succulent wagyu beef slices, accompanied by wasabi, garlic chips, and mushrooms, melted in my mouth and left a lasting impression.

After the main courses, we were gracefully moved to a different room for desserts. This transition added a new dimension to the experience, offering a more relaxed and intimate setting to savor the final sweet notes of the evening.

The seamless service and attention to detail elevated the entire experience. Every interaction was warm and professional, and the staff ensured that each course was presented with care and precision. Waku Ghin truly delivers on its reputation for excellence, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate. This restaurant is an absolute must for anyone seeking an extraordinary culinary journey.

Booked a table about a month in advance using Amex platinum concierge. Dinner booking on a Thursday night for two in the dining room at 530pm. We arrived at 5pm as we were finished shopping for the day, and on arrival we were great with outstanding service and seated immediately, offered pre dinner cocktails and then the set menu, and a bottle of Riesling to accompany at $150SGD.

Every single dish was divine. Small servings but the flavors just melt and the food is decadent and a journey throughout the meal.
It is expensive. But so is anything that is worth it. I have eaten at Tetsuya’s Sydney in the past and this is different but the signature experience is similar. The servers are friendly, engaging and even had a little humor to share.
For two people it was $800SGD which was a set menu cost of $250SGD per person, 2 cocktails, the $150 bottle of wine and then about 20% tax and service charge. We were there are about 3.5 hours (which seemed longer than usual) but the pacing was really good. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and while expensive, was worth it! If you love quality and fine dining - treat yourself.
Make sure you sign up for Marina bay sands membership before you dine, it free and you earn cash back to spend at other Marina bay sands stores/dining and if you keep an eye out for special offers in the app for tourists, special card holders etc. so worth it! Especially if you are spending up big at the stores, your meals are practically free!

Had a lovely dining experience at Waku Ghin last Sunday. Kimi, our host was very friendly and gave good recommendations. He was very patient in answering our questions. Will definitely come back to try the omakase menu next time.

Also my first time at this restaurant; it’s been in my to eat list since forever, hence I was really looking forward to dining here. The food was amazing and service was top-notch, so I’m not sure why they dropped down to a 1-star this year. Nonetheless, I enjoyed everything. Recommend!
