Nothing fantastic.

No need to queue after lunch hour. Food prepared briskly. Food looked pretty decent. Lard bits and all. Chilli paste the noodle was tossed in was most ordinary tasting. Most probably taken off their supplier. Noodle could do with more vinegar in there as well.

Fishballs were huge and springy! Definitely handmade, but bland. Soup wasn't great either. As they blanch their bak chor mee ingredients in the same stock pot.

The $4.50 price tag was its only saving grace.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. There was almost no queue there was just another lady ordering in front of me.
The preparation of the food was rather slow as there was just one man doing a one man show.
There are generally 2 items on the menu, the bak chor mee or the fishball noodles. I opted for the bak chor mee and ordered one without oil and lard.
I wanted to ask to not include the liver as well but he told me I should have told him earlier, as he already threw the ingredients into the hot water while preparing the previous order.
I decided to add the homemade fish ball as well as I heard from reviews that they have good fishball. Was a little disappointed when I got my bowl of noodles.
Firstly I think the ingredients were very minimal,  only liver and pork. The fishballs were a little expensive for 2 pieces for 1.50.
However the noodles were quite well cooked and the highlight probably has to be the chilli and the vinegar combination. Loved how rich and flavourful the chilli was. The fishball was expensive but then they tasted awesome.  It was so smooth and soft and tasty 2 were just simply too little.
Would have been better if there was fish cake in the bak chor mee, the ingredients were rather pale in comparison to others.
Great for a try, maybe it's  better to order the fishball noodles instead.

Environment aside, hands down one of the best handmade fishball noodles. Fishballs are bouncy, the flavour of the noodle adjusted right for the individual preference. There’s almost no queue on a Sunday morning. Michelin yes!

I had pretty nice fishball noodles 🍜 as the noodles were not soggy and overly cooked yesterday. I had also asked for extra chilli, vinegar and pork lard that coated every strand of the mee pok well. Prices have gone up across the board from 33% to 50% due to inflation globally which is staggering and not in tandem with the rise of salary !!! There is a slight rental increase by Singapore government agency, NEA (National Enviroment Agency) after the refurbishment of this market/hawker centres and it was opened 3 days ago on 16th December 2023. I would also like to highlight that MSG should be added sparingly or omitted altogether as I felt a little dry and thirsty after eating.
