I am truly speechless after my experience at this restaurant. They undoubtedly deserve a 2-star Michelin rating, not just one! Despite the main chef’s absence, the young Malaysian chef and Singaporean lady chef delivered an extraordinary dining experience. Their talent and passion were evident in every dish, especially the “kinky fish” and the beef, which were absolutely out of this world.
The entire ambiance felt like a journey, and the service elevated it even more. The sommelier was outstanding—his knowledge of wine pairings added a layer of depth that perfectly complemented each dish. Kudos to the whole team; this was a culinary adventure like no other. Well done!

What a brilliant dinner this was…!!! Paying homage to the rich culinary heritage of Chile and the South Pacific, Chef Francisco and Chef Fernanda and their team have done a fantastic job of delivering South American flavours using Japanese, Southeast Asian and flown-in South American ingredients. In spite of its relatively short existence, Araya is making a strong mark in the fine dining scene of SG.

There were 2 tasting menus to choose from - the Costa menu which seems very South Pacific seafood focussed ($368++) and the Andes menu which is a good mix of meat and seafood ($298++). There was also a vegetarian menu for the same price as the Andes menu for vegetarians.

I went with the Andes menu and every single dish was a home run in my view. The overall menu is a kaleidoscope of flavours and takes you on a wonderful journey across sweet, sour and savoury taste profiles. The presentation of the dishes is also top notch. I actually can’t remember a meal in my recent past where I appreciated every single course without exception. Even the petit fours were so unique and brilliant.

I did not have any drinks due to some medical reasons but the wine pairing menu really seemed good from the looks of it. Service is really good and the restaurant was kind enough to cater to my food allergies.

Overall, the dining experience at Araya was beyond exceptional. Definitely in my personal list of top 10 restaurants in SG. A well deserved Michelin star restaurant and a must visit for anyone in SG.

I was pleasantly surprised by everything here, I did expect a great dinner but this was a very memorable evening! It was intimate, elegant, fun and absolutely every dish was perfectly executed.
The Chilean ingredients are displayed, and explained as I was sitting down. Biggest surprise on display was the skin, that actually was the dried Chilean seaweed, Cochayuyo. From start to end every dish had its own personality, and every time I thought that it couldn’t be better. I always get asked for my favourites, and it’s nearly impossible to say. The Picana, Wagyu with chimichurri was perfect, just like the Kinki fish.
The green ceviche Hokkaido scallops, botan ebi, leche de tigre sorbet with ginger jelly was another plated love that I felt like licking when I was done. There was so many dishes, and all equally scrumptious. And then the desserts, 3 of them where the main dessert Antártica was like a luxurious Ben & Jerry’s. Lost for words.
The interior reminds me about a private club, its dark and intimate and the guests are feeling at home directly. Perfect service. I wanna go back already. Araya was awarded with a star after eight months. I am sure more will come!

Food that can be described as beautiful, especially when paired with the intent and effort behind the craft of each dish.

I have an embarrassingly limited amount of knowledge on south american cuisine, and this dinner was a journey of not just food but also culture! I loved the pride in their heritage and their enthusiasm on educating guests on the variety of ingredients utilised. The sweet endings offered were also thoughtfully topped with a showcase of lovely landscapes of south america.

service was also impeccable and thoughtful without being intrusive. overall a very enjoyable and fun dinner experience!

Love the chefs and staffs, all very helpful and enthusiastic about what they’re doing.

The food was also quite nice. They really know how to cook seafood. I also love the duck. That sauce was something unique and brilliant! Thanks for giving us a wonderful night!
