We had a pleasant experience at Andre. What I like the most about it is the personal service from Andre and his wife. It's a very intimate space, very suitable for a romantic dinner. However, the down side is it's bit over priced compared to other Michelin two stars restaurants and even some three stars restaurants. Taste is good but didn't blow me away.

Staff was really accommodating when it came to naming dietary restrictions, they're focused on making sure you have a great experience. Very innovative use of ingredients and visual presentation. If you're here for the dinner course, you can expect to spend about 3-4 hours here since it's intentionally paced that way. In total, about 24 different kinds of foods are served from the appetizers to mains and desserts.

We're having a 5 set lunch (198++ SGD) here. Every set of cuisine actually contains several tasty foods there. Though they are small one, in the end we're all having full stomach and fail to have deserts or drinks. Delicious cuisines with chef's art philosophy, great service, comfortable environment and hospitality. One of the-must-visiting restaurant in Singapore. Can't imagine 8 set dinner would be how full for one...lol

First and foremost, yes, it would hurt your wallet. But, it was an experience that's worth every penny. There's a reason why this restaurant has a two michelin stars rating.

If you are expecting a quick 8-course meal, you are so wrong (pro-tip: make sure you are really hungry before going to the restaurant). It was a 4.5 hour of culinary journey that has enlightened my taste buds to the next level.

Even before we started our 8-course dinner, which is based the Andre's culinary philosophy (octaphilosophy), we were treated with a 4-course appetizer, each beautifully presented. My favorite was the charcoal bread, which was made with vegetable ash and a bit of seafood, it tasted sooo good and unique. It's also worth to mention that one of the dishes resembled sea bed, it was so beautiful, I didn't want to touch it.

Of the dishes from the 8-course dinner, one stood out the most; Foie Gras topped with truffle. It was a very simple looking dish, but It was so rich. I was in heaven. I will never its taste.

As if we weren't full enough (we were stuffed), the desert comes in four-course set. My highlight is the rice ice cream top with rice puffs. I observed that most patrons ended up packing the desert home (I guess they were really stuffed too). Not me, I want to enjoy them while they were still fresh, even if I'm stuffed to my throat.

Attention to detail is empathized at this restaurant. For example, the dishwares on which the food is served were made by pottery master in Japan, designed by the chef, Andre, himself!

Service from the staff was excellent, as expected. They explained the stories behind each dish, recommended what drinks to pair with each dish, and treated you as if you were part of their family.

In summary, if you are looking for a culinary experience like no other, this will be it. I have been to Jaan before they got their michelin star, while it was good, it was nothing like the experience I had at Andre.

I would definitely go back to Andre again, but only after saving up and reserved for only special occasion...haha.

Of all the fine dining and top Michelin star restaurants I have been to, Andre is outstanding and my favourite. Friendly and helpful staff that added to the enjoyable evening. The food was beautiful, very creative and absolutely divine.
