I love the band! Gruv Syndicate on Thursdays 7pm onwards. They play alternative rock and sometimes hard rock too! The drinks are on 50% before 7pm. Food wise, I like the simplice pasta and chicken tikka! Yati is a great server!

Never typically leave reviews, but this was genuinely the most saddened I was left by a restaurant throughout my whole life

I’ve walked by this place a lot whenever I go to Clarke Quay and this time I actually tried it— first off, I asked the person at the menu-stand if they accepted NETS, they responded “NETS? Yeah we accept NETS” and then I was seated, then after ordering [but before the food came] another worker came to my table with a card-scanner and how I was going to pay— and I said NETS [because as we have established prior, they said they accept NETS] and they said “We don’t accept NETS, only Cash or Card”. So okay, haven’t even gotten my food and I’m already being gaslighted, whatever.

Then they walk me over to the bar area because they also accepted PayNow, and also they were really rude about it too— like she was yelling at me and kept grabbing my phone; telling me they needed to take a picture of the receipt when I wasn’t even moving or anything; they just did that. I don’t know why, maybe they were just bitter because having to serve angry drunk white tourists over time will do that you— but like don’t take that out on me!

The attitude aside, because the other staff were generally like pretty nice, I think they genuinely have hearing issues because of how loud the music they play; is. I don’t mean this in a mean or rude way, I genuinely think this because— first off they must’ve misheard me say ‘Cash’ instead of ‘NETS’ [despite repeating it back to me] and also, the person who took my order; after I pointed to the burger on the menu, I said ‘and a Coke Zero’ like three times because I could tell he must’ve not heard it, then after the third time he responded “Okay and can I get you anything else? Any beverages” then I had to flip the menu and point towards where it said ‘Coke Zero’.

And this is the part that was actually really lame because, bad attitude and miscommunication isn’t that crazy, but the pricing is just ridiculous. $7 for a can of Coke Zero and $38 for an alright burger with a side of fries served in one of those corny mini fryer-baskets. I paid $53.96 total, I’m assuming that $8 comes from GST and service fees [which any amount over a cent would be overpriced]. Lame

The burger was whatever, this is just such an unbelievable tourist trap. If you’re travelling to Singapore, go to a place like BurgerLabo or One Fattened Calf because, while they’re also known for being expensive, they’re actually good burgers [And also half the price]. It’s not even good for music fans because there’s a better [and cheaper] [[and nicer]] [[and cozier]] music-eatery right next to it (Swee Lee). And while I can only speak for what I ordered, I can assume the rest of the menu isn’t that great for the price either.

I guess the service staffs are too busy and lack of smile. We ordered the food and was immediately ask to pay… I was thinking to order first round and do some add on, it’s not relaxing when staff hurry us to pay half way during our eat.  Yes it’s the same staff slightly older in age. See my pic, the chicken is nice.

Being served by Yati, Johnny. Outstanding service very attentive and Friendly. We came here few here purposely for the band by Chris as well. Highly recommended bar and restaurant if you want a lively band.
