I wanted to try this stall in spite of the recent bad reviews. While I was glad to try it, it was not worth the wait.

The owner doesn't speak much English but here's what to do, for others who might want to try:

It can be confusing, but to enter the line, you queue on the right hand side of the stall. The owner will hand you a plastic basket. Use the metal tongs to grab what you want and put it in the basket. Then, resume queueing from the left side of the stall to pay. The prices for each item is on the left side of the stall.

Then it becomes extra confusing. Because as you are waiting to pay, people will randomly come by and buy food ahead of those already in line. Why, no idea.

When it is finally your turn to pay, the owner will ask if you want it spicy or not. Then he quotes you a price and everything gets chopped up and put into a bag.

Like other reviewers, I found extra food in my bag that I hadn't picked out - a piece of tofu and extra liver. Not sure if that was included in my charge or not.

The taste was fine, but nothing special and not worth the long and frustrating wait.

To all travelers planning to try this street stall, please be cautious—you might end up with food poisoning! I ate there the night before my departure from Taiwan and woke up in the middle of the night with stomach aches. During my flight, I felt nauseous and even threw up.

On top of that, the owner added more food than what I selected in my basket and charged me extra for items I didn’t even ask for. Make sure to check Google reviews before you decide to go!

Somehow this is a Michelin recommended stall, not really sure why!

Taste is ok, not that great but also not so bad. However they are quite slow, the wait in line takes a really long time. Not ideal at a night market, as it can be quite crowded and uncomfortable.

Hygiene is not great, and price is a bit high. Not something I enjoyed!

Amazing food. Long wait even on weekdays but totally worth it, so much flavor. It’s clean enough with a Michelin star and people complaining about the sanitary conditions probably shouldn’t be eating street food in the first place…

Sorry for adding onto the numerous negative reviews here - I am writing this because I don’t want others to be cheated like I was. The owner of this stall took the liberty to swap out several items we picked (from a hidden stash underneath, weird?) and added in numerous other items we didn’t choose in order to jack up the prices. I only picked ~6 items but ended up with almost 20 because the owner multiplied several (for e.g. I took 1 fish cake, he added in 3 others). He didn’t inform us before he did that of course. I have a feeling it’s because we are obvious tourists, so he took the chance to fleece us.

This is a pity because the food actually tasted great. (The chilli is bomb!) It’s obvious he doesn’t care about his reviews here but dishonest business practices are a big no-no no matter how good the food is or how famous the stall is.
