The breakfast buffet is massive and carefully crafted. They make each item a much smaller portion so you can try everything. There is even a shabu shabu station, and I have never seen that in any hotel breakfast buffet. However, the execution was not maintained as it should be. Many items such as pork bun were served on a steamer, so the food was supposed to be heated but the steamer is not on. So the food is almost cold. Pork bun could be still delicious when it’s cold, but not the ones here. There is only one staff behind all hot food station and he’s busy preparing food items. They are obviously understaffed. Many bowls at the shabu shabu and udon stations still have water in them. That must be a violation of the health code. Any water residue is a petri dish for bacterial growth. It’s really to see this kind of mistake at a high end establishment.

The restaurant is an excellent Italian restaurant serving a tasting Manu of multiple courses. The starters are great delights. The four types of bread being served were all delicious and unique. The olive oil, balsamic vinegar etc are superb. The main courses are really tasty and delicious. I would certainly visit again next time I visit Taipei. The cook shared his design of every dish and how it reflects the style of food in northern Italy.

I like how it's very quiet and it's not busy so it feels like you are in private dining.  There are lots of details to every dish, got to meet the chef and understanding his thoughts on every course, it was very nice.  It's amazing that we can try authentic Italian taste in Taiwan since the chef tries to let the customers know some ingredients from his home town,

The food experience and quality is something rare to find nowadays in Taipei. Genuine, fresh, without being bland, and refined Piedmontese flavours. There were a few hiccups, like a very confusing and not up to standards reservation system (especially if you need to make some modifications) and issues with the wine. But these issues have been professionally dealt with by the staff and our suggestions noted. At the end they didn't compromise the experience. Recommended for a true Piedmonese fine dining meal.
