We had a wonderful 5 night stay at The Rim Resort Hotel in Chiang Mai during our recent trip to Thailand. This is a fantastic boutique hotel in the city but far enough away from any noise. The hotel is an oasis of calm and relaxation. We had a grand deluxe room with a great balcony, the room had everything we could possibly wish for, it was very comfortable and spacious with a great bathroom (shower and bathtub), the hotel is spotlessly clean and kept to a very high standard. The breakfast options are great with lots of choices including vegetarian. The staff are amazing and go out of their way to help in any way they can, everyone we met who worked at the hotel, reception staff, cleaning staff, night security man, hotel drivers were all extremely helpful and polite. The hotel organised our half day at the elephant sanctuary which is a must if in Chiang Mai, they also arrange a bus every night at 7pm you can book onto that takes you down to the night market again, this is a must visit. The pool and pool area are wonderful for a peaceful dip to cool off. We stayed during the New Year celebrations and the hotel had a brilliant New Year's Eve meal and entertainment for all the guests. We will definitely come back to The Rim next time we visit Chiang Mai and highly recommend this hotel. We stayed here for two nights and had an excellent experience. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. On the night before our departure, we requested a taxi for an early morning ride to the airport. The staff checked the fare for us, which was around 300 baht. However, considering the cost, they went above and beyond to find an alternative option with Grab for just 62 baht. As tourists, we might have simply paid the 300 baht, but we truly appreciated the staff's effort to find a more affordable solution.

As a lovely surprise, they provided us with a sandwich box and hot coffee before we left, which was a thoughtful touch. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chiang Mai – the breakfast is fantastic, and the rooms are excellent.

The only minor downside was that the hotel Wi-Fi was a bit slow.

Hotel was great, rooms very clean, very peaceful atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and helpful! I only tried the breakfast and it was okay, nothing spectacular but there are plenty of cafe spots around. Location was good for what I was there for, mostly hiking but if you want to be closer to night life, bars, restaurants it’s probably not the best spot, but a quick grab bike and you’re anywhere you want to be.
The only negative I have and this has nothing to do with the hotel or the service. I guess there is a bar or club near by. Saturday from about 2030 to 2300 I believe the music/bass  was so ridiculously loud it about shook the walls!! I’m not sure if this is an every weekend occurrence or just a one time event.
Other than this one event my stay @Rim Resort was wonderful and I would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay here. You’re made to feel at home / like part of the family and the staff are so helpful and friendly. We are sad to leave! The food at the restaurant is delicious and breakfast is plentiful too.

We gave had a wonderful stay here. Staff have been amazingly helpful. Great choices for breakfast. Pool is brilliant, great to relax at. Room had everything we could need. Very happy to have stayed here
