Great French restaurant.
We had dinner and came back to eat again a few days after.
Both dinners were delicious.
The service was great and daily soup is served as an appetizer. Before the main course, a lemon sorbet is served.
The tenderloin was well cooked and served.
We tried several appetizers as well, all were great.
It is recommended to book a table in advance.

A cozy restaurant filled with passion. Chef and all staff are cheerful and professional!

We had pan-fried Hokkaido scallop with lobster source as starter which was fantastic. The lobster source was superb! Another starter was 3-small dishes with lobster, ravioli and sea bass.

For main, we had sea bass, crispy outside and juicy inside, it’s just right!

More importantly, chef is an 82 years old, he is so energetic, we truly respect his passion in cooking.

Could easily get a Michelin star. The food is fantastic—so good that we couldn’t stop eating. Everything was incredible. There are a few dishes you must try, such as the tartare and the salmon dish. The steaks are excellent, and the lamb chop is outstanding. We were amazed by every single item we tasted. We also had a chat with the chef, who was very nice and welcoming. This restaurant is a must-try in Koh Samui—one of the best dining experiences I've ever had.

We were excited to go to Chez Francoise and had high expectations.

When we got there we felt it didn't have much atmosphere.  Almost a bit dingy looking, expecially when you consider their prices.  The door to kitchen was open all the time and it's a very small indoor restaurant, so we had kitchen smells the whole meal.  We went away with our clothes and hair smelling of fried food.  A bit off-putting really.

To compound this, the table next to us had a child crying every few minutes, in a very small restaurant.  There was no music most of the time or so quiet couldn't hear it, even when the child wasn't crying.  We could occasionally hear what sounded like the microwave bell when it finishes.  May be it was some other timer rather than the microwave.

There were olives on the table which really didn't taste good.   It would have been better without them.

We were not impressed by the amuse bush either - very heavy.  Infact, a small portion of what tasted like plain pumpkin soup served in a small cup would be a better description.

We had the set menu.  The fillet de beouf was nicely cooked. The salmon was OK.  The potatoes and vegetables were very plain - like canteen food.  I enjoyed the dessert.  Overall the food was nothing special

The wine list for a restaurant with these prices was extremely limited.  Water at 235 per bottle (not shown on drinks list) is a bit expensive.

We paid 4,500 (only had 2 glasses of wine and 1 bottle of water for drinks) - very expensive for Samui.

Overall disappointing.

My photos are a bit old, so I don't know if my dishes are still on the menu, but it was a very good bistronomic restaurant and super filling. When I was in Samui, this restaurant was recommended to me by French hoteliers, and I was not disappointed. The food is excellent, and the prices offer really good value for money. I'll return as soon as possible when I'm back in Samui. I was told that the chef was a former Michelin-starred chef who worked in the UAE before, and you can really feel the love for cooking.
