We had a wonderful four-day vacation here. This was our first visit to the beautiful island of Koh Samui, and it was truly a memorable experience. Before our stay, we contacted the hotel to confirm several details, and they responded politely to all of our questions.

Upon arrival at the airport, the taxi service through the hotel was seamless, making our journey stress-free. The room was clean and spacious, offering a luxurious atmosphere for relaxation. Breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of options. We especially enjoyed the local Thai food, which gave us a taste of authentic flavors.

The spa service was exceptional. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly relaxing experience. Since the hotel grounds are quite large, it is best to book a buggy in advance when going to specific areas within the resort. However, we noticed that there were plenty of buggies on the road, and the staff was always polite, offering a ride whenever they saw us walking.

Overall, this resort provided us with a delightful experience. We left with wonderful memories and would love to return in the future.

The Good: Location and property is amazing! Rooms are surprisingly beautiful, reason I say surprising is because the hallways are akin to a desert apartment complex, not a Ritz to say the least. However the rooms are top notch.
Buggy service is fast and efficient.

The Bad: Each touch point with staff is a point of frustration, half of them don’t speak English properly so you’re resorting to shadow puppetry to just get a glass of water or directions to a bathroom. Yes it’s cute sometimes but if you want to be a high end hotel this is just comical.
Breakfast bar should enforce some type of dress standard! Two people trotted around in pajamas! Are you kidding me? Some people were eating with their hands from the food tray standing up! where is the manager? What is this Motel 7?
Indian restaurant: it’s literally located in a hallway, yup you heard that right, food was great but I’m looking at a wall people! haha

Unfortunately you have to now go to hotels that are $3000/night to get some sort of decent service but hey it is what it is.

My partner and I stayed at the Ritz Carlton at the end of November 2024. Everything from the food, service, employees, and location were phenomenal. The staff were very attentive to everything we needed and were very friendly. We dined at the View and the food and service were top notch. Breakfast at Shook was convenient and even though it is self serve, the staff were very welcoming and informative. Be aware that Shook is open-air and can be a little warm so dress lightly. We never had to wait long for the buggie service to get around and when we did walk it was nice to take in the scenery.

Hope we can make it back again soon!

The overall experience was typical of hotels under the Marriott International brand. Service is very good, staff are warm and highly efficient.

The room it self, we stayed in the pool villa, it would be better if we had a little more privacy because the private villa pool literally is next to the main road where people walking past could look at us playing in the pool. This problem could easily be fixed by planting some tropical plants.

If I was to stay at this hotel again, I would just get the standard villa because the public pool area is very scenic during sunset and has an awesome bar attached to it, not sure why we would use our private pool.

Overall, highly recommend it.

We stayed for 6 nights in a private pool villa and absolutely loved it!  This is a beautiful hotel on a lush tropical island.  Staff were very helpful, the various restaurants in the hotel are great with a special mention to The Ranch and our private pool was superb.  A great place to really relax.
