Very beautiful palace, definitely worth a visit when in Istanbul. With it’s gorgeous architecture and rich history, it will surely be an impressive and relaxing day. The gardens, viewpoints and imperial treasures offer something for everyone. We enjoyed the variation the palace grounds offered and also enjoyed learning more about the history behind it all. I recommend clearing a full day and take your time strolling through the gardens, alleys and beautiful buildings.

It's my 3rd time, and I feel like rediscovering again some places.

Other reviews will explain the full story. You can get a free audio guide upon arrival. I can only recommend coming very earlier and taking your time to visit each courtyard. Also enjoy a walk around.

Gorgeous architecture, a wonderful view from the sea. I felt very lucky to have an tour up the strait as we sailed through to Romania. Would love to visit in person one day.

For the price, it's really poor; it's not clear where the money goes, but it's not on facilities, guides, audio or presentation. Literally £47 each, I'd expect very good audio guides, but frankly timed group tours could be provided for this. It's even designed to get you out, once you're in. The only toilets are all grouped together at the exit, so if you get half way round you have to walk back to the exit for facilities. They're not particularly pleasant.
The audio tour is very limited. Mostly tells you a little as you enter a building, but doesn't tell you much about the rooms, exhibits or history.
There are some signs with information as you go round, but nowhere near as informative as other museums.

Well maintained. Very big. Requires 5-6 hours to see everything with kids. If you arrive early by 9:00 am, no long wait.

Plenty of sitting space and eateries. Photography is the must.
