The non alcoholic pairing was an absolute highlight and the interactivity of the staff with the guests was a stand out, particularly when it came to explaining the ingredients used in each dish and the rationale behind the pairings. It was lovely of the staff to move us into a different area for the dessert course and we were served well. Hà Nội’s food is different- it’s not bland. It requires a certain kind of palate to appreciate the innovative ways in which ingredients are used to tell a cohesive story about a particular space and its history. Gia definitely had a story to tell and delivered this to us in the dishes it presented.

Food was absolutely delicious but what blew my mind was the non-alcoholic pairing! It was truly such a surprise the amount of complexity, favour, aroma, and how well it complimented the dishes! The staff were very attentive, knowledgeable and so accommodating. The most memorable staff was Minh who explained to us the time, labour, ingenuity of each of his non-alcoholic creations! Truly a genius scientist at work! Looking forward to visiting again in the near future 😋

Honestly wish I could rate service higher than 5. The staff is truly excellent even amongst Michelin locations. As my first full day & dinner in Vietnam this introduced me to a lot of the basics in very fancy manner.

As an added bonus I got the chefs table next to the kitchen. While some of the dishes are a bit strange they are exceptionally tasty.  Not to mention the restaurant itself is very beautiful.

It was the restaurant I liked most in my trip in Hanoi. I like their presentation of dishes and tried to introduce the Vietnamese cultures and traditional food by their dishes. I would also recommend the non-alcoholic pairing as they put a lot of effort to make the drinks. The eel rice and pan fried fish were so tasty. I wish to have a larger portion 😂

Highly recommended. Vietnamese version of fine dining at its best. We have tried several places before, the service and creativity at GIA really can compete with the rest of the world.

We had the winter tasting menu. Creative dishes that speak the stories of Vietnamese flavors and stories. I would recommend the non-alcoholic pairing over the alcoholic pairing - the alcoholic pairing was nice but not surprisingly impressive. The non-alcoholic pairing was as innovative and we enjoyed guessing the hidden ingredient in each one.
