I just had the most wonderful experience at La Badiane for my partner’s birthday dinner, and I couldn't be happier with my choice.

The staffs were incredibly friendly. A special shoutout to Đạt, who has been with the restaurant for a year. He greeted and served us our meals. He took great care of us, and offered some advices for our itinerary, which I really appreciated!

We opted for the ‘signature’ and ‘fusion’ five-course dinner with wine pairing—the food quality was amazing. I left feeling so satisfied and grateful for such a lovely evening. I’ll definitely be back💕

A great spot for date night in Hanoi. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable and the menu was designed thoughtfully. As a party of two, we each went for a different version of the set menu and were very impressed! Each dish was great, with stand-outs being the salmon gravlax and the beef waygu.

Celebrated my wife birthday 🎂 at La Badiane while we were holidaying in Hanoi.

The restaurant was the perfect place for lunch. The rustic colonial black and white theme and decor was tastefully setup.

The 4 course executive lunch bistro was heavenly prepared and the 3 course set lunch with lamb shank as main was equally fantastic.

The service staff was polite and took great care of us throughout our meal. The icing on the cake was the birthday dessert they prepared for wife for the special occasion.

Will definitely visit again when we next come back to Hanoi.

Very aesthetically decorated French dining. 4 course lunch menu came with pumpkin soup, poached egg with some sort of foam, sea bass, caramel ice cream dessert.

Most courses taste decent and presentation is really nice, so I’d say 5 stars for the soup and dessert. 4 stars for the poached egg as it was a bit difficult to eat and the flavors didn’t come together as well as I’d hoped for.

However - the sea bass was totally overcooked! I questioned if it was sea bass for a second because of the super cooked texture. Considering this is the main course I would have to give overall food quality a 3 stars. Nothing to write home about, and I don’t think the main course deserved that Michelin star.

All the servers were very polite, sweet, and attentive, although they seemed comfortable with explaining the courses in English, their accents were so heavy, it was difficult to understand them. I don’t believe someone who doesn’t speak English fluently would be able to understand them.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary dinner here, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We opted for the 4-course vegetarian menu along with two à la carte dishes. The service was immaculate; the staff were attentive, friendly, and even offered to take a picture of us! :)

The food was fantastic! We loved the variety of textures in the cheese platters, and the beetroot carpaccio was my favorite—it pairs perfectly with the wasabi cream.

The atmosphere was quite relaxing. Although the tables were close together, it didn’t feel cramped. My husband and I are already planning to return for our next special occasion.
