A 5/5 experience at Koki. The atmosphere was elegant yet welcoming, and the attention to detail in both the food and service was exceptional.

I went with my family with kid, so we chose A la carte menu. Each dish was a beautiful fusion of flavors using finest ingredients. The restaurant’s well-deserved 1-star Michelin rating is reflected in both the food and service. Highly recommended!

KOKI is the most expensive Michelin 1 star restaurant in Hà Nội. This is because they import 80% of their ingredients from Japan. All of their menu is supervised by Yosida-San, who got the Michelin star the first as for Teppanyaki, which means grilling on the iron plate.
Since the price is very high, I could not try this place easily. But on this day, 26th of October, they had a fish name Kinki in their course menu. This fish is one of the finest fish in Japan. As a Korean, I have never tasted this fish. Blackthroat Seaperch(Akamutsu) was the best fish I have ever had. So, once I saw this name, I had to try here. When could I have another chance to taste this one???
KinKi was great. It's really great with all other ingredients cooked together at KinKi dish.
Also, the chef introduced Wagyu. Who were her parents, who were her grandparents. They have a certificate to prove the quality of Wagyu. I might have tried Wagyu BBQ like 5 times in my memory. But they were not good enough. I never felt any specialty. But believe me, guys, this Wagyu is different. She will make us forget all the Wagyu you had tried before. Surely the Chef cooks so well of the steak. If you would like to criticize, you need to experience the good and the bad both. I have only experienced the bad before. Now I know what is a good Wagyu. The scallop is from Hokkaido of course. But it would have been better to cook medium rare or by non-cutting. Which is the same method from "Les Ami" from Singapore 3 star restaurant.
They make their own noodles. This has quite a different texture. It will be a new experience too. Other dishes were not so much different from other fine-dinings. They change menu every season. Once you find some special ingredients from their updated menu, you may try it. You don't have to fly to Japan. Just pay some more, and you can get it here as long as your credit card allows it.

I went to this restaurant when my birthday,
12 October 2024 , we eat for 3 people, the hot pot was nice, and everything was proper , the staff , and service were good.the price a little high but worth it because this restaurant is fine dining, Michelin-start.
Recommend if you want to try fine dining in Hanoi Capela hotel.

There 2 Japanese restaurants by Koki at the Capella. One is ‘Izakaya By Koki’ which is a Michelin selected restaurant, and the other is ‘Hibana by Koki’ which is the Michelin 1 star place. I visited Hibana for dinner. From a price perspective, this was a very expensive meal versus other fine dining places in Hanoi, but you know that going in.

Hibana has 2 menus to choice from - an Experience menu comprising 7 courses and the Signature menu comprising 9-10 courses. You have to mention which menu you want to have while making the reservation. I had chosen the Signature menu whose price is VND 8mil+ per pax (as I said, quite expensive). The dinner started with a complimentary drink in the lounge post which I was led into the Teppanyaki room where Chef Yamaguchi (Head Chef of Koki) himself was running the show. The meal started with 3 starter courses post which a host of seafood and meat dishes followed. Each course is made using ingredients which are sourced from the best producers and vendors from Japan to Vietnam - which is why the meal is priced highly. My favourite courses were the Abalone and the Wagyu beef.

Service was beyond fantastic with the restaurant staff constantly attending to me and explaining each and every course in detail.

Overall, I liked the whole experience. However, whether it’s value for money or not, is a question which will have a different answer for each person.

Very impressive food. We went a la carte and enjoyed it a lot. Highly recommend the Waygu with wasabi and the tonkotsu ramen. Also, big shout-out to Thin. He was exceptional!
