Bistro Guillaume is a cosy french restaurant within the Crown Towers complex. It has an outdoor covered terrace facing a riverside and it is nice to sit there on the sunny afternoon for a dinner or a glass of wine. We have been a few times and enjoyed it most of the times. Food is tasty and well presented, service is attentive and atmosphere is inviting. This restaurant is one of my favourite in the Crown Towers. Thank you

The staff are to be commended they are thoughtful & very attentive. The ambience is awesome vibrant by the river very enjoyable. I had great interaction with the manager on wine tasted a few then decided. Very kind of him.

Maybe I had an off night or not in the mood. The food was okay. The whipped cods roe just wasn’t for me; though with the olives was very taste.  I think the idea of sliced baguette is okay but too heavy a start. I go with some croutons or similar. Soufflé delicious cheese goodness, the fish okay some was over cooked, I did let the waiter know. So I have rated my visit as 3/5 but in fairness I will return and try again. If you’re in Melbourne for a visit I do implore you to give Bistro Guillaume a try. A nice lunch or dinner by the river would be very enjoyable.

Edited here a review for my recent visit for this change to one star! :

We ordered a medium-rare steak, but it was a disaster. The fries that came with it were soggy and undercooked. The steak seemed rushed, coming out grey with a pink tint—completely different from the picture I posted in my last review (just added one pic swipe to see the last picture so you can see the difference). We politely asked for the fries to be recooked, and while the waiter was very kind and relayed the message to the chef, what came back was only marginally better—still disappointing, but at least edible. It seemed like they just left them in the fryer a bit longer.

Somehow, they managed to mess up one of the simplest things to cook. Thankfully, we didn’t order anything else, or we’d have regretted it even more.

In summary, the kitchen seriously needs a team that can cook consistently. You’ve lost me as a regular customer. Bye.

Came here for a Monday steak night for $25 and it was pretty solid. The sauce with the steak was a light onion style gravy which was unique so didn’t know what to expect. The chips were a bit 2 soggy for my liking but a good generous portion size. The lady offered me bread which I thought was complimentary or seemed to imply that but then got charged at the end so beware of that. The bread was good regardless and was probably worth the $3 extra.

Stopped for a drink mid afternoon and accompanied it by the terrine. Nothing wrong with it at all. Also had the sourdough (crust a tad burnt but otherwise good). Service was fine. Hardly any customers as it was in between lunch and dinner.
