We were excited to attend this very highly rated restaurant and went in around 4.30pm on a Friday afternoon to see if they had anything available. The front of house staff member was lovely and accommodating. The first female waiter was lovely too. Really made us feel like we belonged. The food was lovely, varied, interesting and nuanced.

What really let the entire experience down was the last make server who we felt, treated us like sub-par human beings. He was rude, condescending, pushy and passive aggressive towards the end. Whatever concious or unconscious biases this guy had towards us were uncalled for! And it really screwed up, what would have been a lovely meal. We left feeling like we didn't belong and shouldn't have stepped foot inside. I really wish we had kept the first lady who served us. We come from Country SA, so are unlikely to ever be back, but instead of raving about the experience, we left with a very bitter taste in our mouth!

What a place... the fusion of food is exceptional.
Portions are small but filling. We had a banquet for 7, and we had food left over.
You will remember the place as one that stands out during your visit in Melbourne.
Service was exceptional, where staff topped up glasses and explained clearly what they had brought out.

It’s been a while since our last couple date since we had kids and what a wonderful restaurant to have it at! Food was spectacular and we went with to the banquet option (less thinking so we just needed to eat). The total dining took just about 90 mins and portion was sufficient. The food also wasn’t too spicy which was a good thing.

We were seated at the bar with a view of the kitchen. Staff were attentive and even surprised us with some candles to celebrate our anniversary.

The star dish I have to say though was dessert. It was a snickers inspired dish and swear I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference of the taste between the chocolate bar and the plate we got! 100% recommended.

Reservation is a must so do book ahead at least a few weeks in advance!

We loved our experience at supernormal. 4 of us ordered Banquet 1 + some lobster rolls and I highly recommend. The food came out orderly and service was lovely. Super busy with good atmosphere but made it a bit slow at times. Best dish of the night: Korean rice cakes.

Top top top  & outstanding experience!
Amazing food, super attentive and lovely staff and fantastic atmosphere.
We tried a lot of their dishes, all of them were spectacular. My favorite were the scallops and the Dan Dan noodles. The cocktails were also fantastic.
Do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant if you are in Melbourne.
