Very busy so be sure to make a booking. The staff are very friendly, atmosphere is amazing. The clam spaghetti was cooked to perfection. Loved the fish but not so much the sardine bread. The oysters were delicious when combined with the sausage which was something new to me.

I absolutely love the aesthetic of Clam Bar. From the moment I walked in and took my seat, the space gave me that unmistakable feeling of something special. It perfectly captures the essence of fine dining, while still feeling welcoming and full of character. Architect Mike Hanna has transformed the venue into a New York–style steakhouse, complete with Art Deco chandeliers and stunning Murano glass sconces that add to its charm.

The menu looked incredible—every dish was tempting. Since we were still full from lunch, we opted to share a few things: half a dozen East Coast oysters, the flat iron steak, and the beef fat potatoes. All were delicious, but the beef fat potatoes were on another level. I genuinely haven’t stopped thinking about them since.

Highly recommend Clam Bar to anyone visiting or living in Sydney. It has an incredible atmosphere and makes for the perfect spot to celebrate a special occasion—or just treat yourself to a great night out.

Some good food here - the highlights were the seafood and we finished everything. I enjoyed the clam pasta. There were some dead clams in there though. The roast duck was good with generous portions but not amazing. The vodka pasta, gratin and skatefish wing were very good. Lastly, the coconut ice cream with melon balls was average and not worth the price. Overall, it’s very expensive. Close to $100pp without drinks. They also give an extra 10% surcharge for groups of 6+, which I think isn’t worth it given the lack of attentiveness and snobby service. While I enjoyed certain aspects of the experience, I’m not in a rush to return.

Everything we ordered was absolutely perfect—this place is officially my new favorite restaurant! Huge shoutout to Role for being so sweet and accommodating. It’s hard to pick just a few recommendations because every dish was incredible, so I’ve attached a photo of everything we ordered. If I *had* to choose, my top three would be the garlic prawns, New York strip steak, and macaroni alla vodka. But honestly, everything on that receipt was a hit—except the clam spaghetti, which was good but didn’t quite reach the same level as the rest!

Aside from the food being 10/10, the waitstaff was incredible; especially, a particulate someone called Gaston was exceptional - the experience was that you’d dream of - comfort and attentiveness. Definitely recommend for any occasion! We will be back!
