This is soooo awesome

The food, the service, the ambience...everyone should come here.

The KANGAROO burger is surely unique, but the beefburger is truly tasty.

The fish and chips are crunchy and filling, the BLUE CRAB PASTA was truly amazing.

And to top it all off...order the espresso cake and the cheesecake! Its decadent!

There is normally a long line in front of the cafe but I was lucky to get in in no time on Christmas's Eve. They were busy so I had to wait for 25 mins for my kangaroo meat fillet. So in the meantime, I ordered the chocolate hazelnut mousse. The dessert was good. The kangaroo fillet was soft and medium rare but the seasoning was nothing rather than salt. The meat was salty and not salty evenly. The sauce was bland. So it felt kinda off when sometimes a bite was salty and the next bite was bland. It was good to explore kangaroo meat but I guess the taste depends very much on the chef. The atmosphere and service were good, given it was on Christmas's Eve.

I would strongly recommending this restaurant as everyone 1st Australian food dining experience for kangaroo steak (A must try)

The moment we walked in, we were greeted promptly and seated. We proceeded to order right away. We were surprised by how tasty and flavorful both steak and kangaroo steak were.

If I had to pick one thing that I didn’t like was the noise level from waiter station. (There was a reason for this specially after I compared with another restaurant in downtown Sydney).  The staffs were nice and friendly but they slam the dishes and silverware down too loud. They could improve on that.

If you are in Sydney you cannot miss this place! In the heart of the city, amazing environment. The food is completely amazing. Big plates, multiple options, tasting magnificent. The chefs are the best!

📍The Rocks Cafe, The Rocks
A very authentic Australian cafe located at The Rocks. We were searching for a place that serves kangaroo steak as my friends were visiting from HK.
Surprisingly, this place has lots of options and delicious desserts to choose from.
It is very cozy inside and the staffs are all very friendly. They let 7 of us to dine in upstairs as it was already packed. We also ordered chicken schnitzel, fish and chips, pasta, spaghetti Bolognese, which all were very yummy.
The kangaroo steak actually tasted like beef to me but some of my friends did not like it as well. We all had a new experience.
We shared two cakes to end the night. What a satisfying meal🙂‍↕️🍀

Highly recommend you all to visit this lovely cafe.

Vi åt frukost här. Gott om tidig tillgänglighet under veckan, men lätt att göra reservation på deras hemsida. Fantastiskt surdegsbröd. Uteservering finns. Bra priser för ägg och lax (ala carte) . Gott om hjälp / personal. Öppnar kl 7 : Exakt 30. När man betalar räkningen med kort ber de om dricks - betala INTE dricks (typ av ostigt för dem att be om denna typ av måltid). Det är inte brukligt att betala dricks för denna typ av restaurang.

Bra Service, mat och uteservering. Surbrödssorterna var vår favorit. Gick två gånger för frukost medan i Sydney.

Bra café - vi gick för frukost och lunch i några dagar. Härlig vänlig personal, god mat och rimligt prissatta. Väl värt ett besök och en av våra favoriter i Klipporna.

När vi gick förbi tittade vi in och gick igenom menyn och tog ett bord för 3 . Vi behövde vara kontrollera att de inte laga mat med MSG - mono - natrium - gultomat. Chefen kom över och gick för att kontrollera med köket, & bekräftade ingen MSG Vi beställde skaldjursliguni, räkröra - rey & potatisgnocchi. Rätterna var alla flavorisum, potatisen G saknade bara lite Accompsnyng Veg. Rekommenderas starkt. Vi föredrog en ostbräda istället för en dessertmeny, men de har ingen ostbräda. Jag skulle vilja uppmuntra ägarna att ha en ostkartong (särskilt vinstmarginal för vissa grafer, kex & chutneys! ! ! ) Värt ett besök

Vi gick till Rocks Cafe i januari 2025 och det var fantastiskt, men vi gick tillbaka den 26 - 25 augusti och det var genomsnittligt som bäst. Mycket tråkigt eftersom vi såg fram emot fantastisk brunch. Jag beställde hembakad croissant, när den kom var den liten, överkokt och smakade som den var tre dagar gammal.

Vår grupp av sex besökte detta café letar efter en australisk - stil frukost, och vi var definitivt glada! Stjärnan i måltiden var The Rocks Hotcakes som redan rekommenderas starkt och lika vacker att titta på som utsökt. Avokadotoasten med ägg var perfekt tillagad, och bananbrödet var fullt av smak. Varje rätt överträffade våra förväntningar i kvalitet och smak. Caféet i sig har en varm, inbjudande atmosfär, och Servicen var utmärkt. Vi lämnade helt nöjd och skulle gärna komma tillbaka

I Sydney i några dagar innan du lämnar på en kryssning. Promenera runt Rocks och Circular Quay och stannade vid Rocks Cafe för lite lunch. Mycket upptagen (vad är inte runt där! ) men fick bord inne precis vid fönstret efter att ha väntat bara en minut. Bra stämning, god mat och dryck, och en läcker dessert.

Jo jag sa att jag skulle återvända för en lunch eller middag efter vår fantastiska frukost på påskdagen. Både min kollega och jag beställde Fiskspecialen. Barramundi med krispigt skal och musselsås. Tja det gjorde ingen besviken, i själva verket bad vi båda om en sked för att dricka upp den återstående såsen. En fin bit surdeg hade varit perfekt att suga upp såsen med. Servicen är fantastisk och vi kände oss så välkomna av framsidan av huset. Naturligtvis tog vi en kaffe och återigen perfekt.

Bra ställe i de gamla kvarteren. Tillfällig middag med bra service och bra mat. Vi älskade specialerbjudanden. Svärdfisken i beurre Blanc var fantastisk men inte säker på krabba och gräslök mäsk den serveras med. Sammantaget... Oerhört roligt. Definitivt värt ett besök. Mycket prisvärt med tanke på läget.

Caféet ligger i en gammal kulturbyggnad i det historiska Rocks-kvarteret. Massor av kulturarvsfunktioner återstår - högt i tak, öppna spisar. Servicen var mycket bra och maten var utsökt. Massor av uteservering och två våningar inuti. Riktigt mysig charm.

Hälsad av en mycket trevlig värd som lovade det bästa kaffe och mat. Vi deltog i frukost. Han var inte långt borta. Drycker kom ut mycket snabbt och mat kort därefter. Kunde inte fel maten, kaffet, servicen och läget. Skulle definitivt gå igen och skulle vilja prova lunch och middag val en dag.

Vi besökte The Rocks Cafe en gång för middag, som var så läcker, vi gick nästa dag för frukost. Personalen var vänlig och tillmötesgående. Populärt ställe bland alla åldersgrupper.

Bra läge och upptagen plats. Frukosten var mycket bra runt. Service hjälpsam och vänlig. Räkna med tilläggsavgifter för helger och 10 % i detta fall. Skulle rekommendera ett besök & nära till alla sevärdheter.

Du hittar inte bättre mat i Sydney. Liten meny, de bästa färska råvarorna. Vi kommer tillbaka för mer. Det är fullt upp av en anledning! Helt utsökt. Personalen är internationell, mycket vänlig och bra att prata med. Liten men perfekt formad. Njut
