Great food and ambience. Lots of options for vegetarians. The cauliflower pakora is simply the best. Clean venue. Friendly staff. Dine on the balcony if possible because the interior can get warm and noisy. The cinema hall has great reclining couches with lots of pillows but it can get frigid so bring a blanket or jacket! Great for date nights!

Edit: best and only great veg food in sydney (out of most famous ones on happycow, went to about 15 places)

Great tasting buffet. 28$ for dinner buffet. 5 or so good to great tasting well thought out mains, a curry, amazing and scrumptious fried cauliflower and potato fries of good quality, and the best salads! I saw the quality of the ingredients when I tasted the salad. The vinegar was of good quality and made the whole experience better!  I've traveled around europe and ate many many vegan buffets, but this one is by far much much better quality of food, and tastes better because of better attention to flavor, ingredients, and customer experience. Most of the food was seasoned perfectly and felt balanced. It was a great foodie experience! By the way, I disliked all the vegan food I ate this week in sydney if I include quality and taste, but this restaurant is the hope for sydney quality vegan food for middle-class people! As they say in the land down under, top food! Will return on later trips. Great service from reception and kitchen staff! I am an extreme critic, and if I say it's good, it's probably good for most. I extremely recommend this to people who like all kinds of food, including salads. If you like fried, Indian, cooked veggies, salads, and carbs, you will love this place. Only one main with dairy. They make their food fresh, you can obviously feel it from the home quality food, it's really good! Thanks to the staff!! The restaurant is completely vegetarian, The food is not good and there are very few curries to select, even though they themselves called it a buffet. No drinks included, or any desserts. Only a few selections of curries. At first, once I go to the buffet area, I am confused as to how this can be a proper buffet and I am searching for some other area, maybe they kept the rest of the food there hhh, nothing, so bad and the food is also not very good. Service is average.

Then went to the film area, we can lay down and watch the movies, find nothing to complain, if you are with your partner, you can cuddle and have an intimate time.

The Feed Punchers visited a very unique punch destination, Govindas restaurant and cinema. For $28, there is an all you can eat, vegetarian buffet, incorporating fresh ingredients with a strong Indian influence.

At the start of the buffet line, there were options of white rice, brown rice, pots of soup and dahl. Next came salads, pasta and a variety of vegetable curries, which utilised predominantly; chickpeas, lentils, potato’s and tofu as the staple ingredient.

The stand out favourite for the Feed Punchers was the crispy deep fried cauliflower pakoras, which were golden and perfectly crispy. They were well paired with the tzatziki mint like sauce and the chilli chutney.

Overall, there was a great variety of fresh-vegetarian food in a buffet style. The perfect way to get a feed right before watching a movie. Thankyou Govindas!

Jag älskar denna biograf och restaurangen är stor! Så mysigt att åka dit med vänner för att titta på fina filmer och avsluta dagen med god vårdande vegetarisk mat. Stämningen är lugn och välkomnande, personalen så lugn och hjälpsam, tack!

Långt ifrån en indisk restaurang. Detta är en plats för människor som gillar intetsägande, buteljerad sås mix vegetarisk indisk ser lika mat. Största misstaget. Bra för människor som inte har några smaklökar.

Enkelt min favorit vegetariska restaurang och har varit i många år. Enkel läcker vegetarisk mat. Om du kombinerar måltiden med filmen är det inte bara ett fynd utan det är alltid den bästa kvällen ute!

Govindas var på vår mini Krabi-hinklista, vi beslutade att få vår sista kvällsmåltid här innan vi flög ut. Miljö: Det är en härlig restaurang med ett bra utbud av maträtter, en välkomnande, varm, vänlig atmosfär och professionell personal. Det var trevligt att ha möjlighet att sitta vid ett bord i restaurangen eller nära den lilla balkongen också. Vi bestämde oss för att sitta vid ett nedre bord och sitta på golvet på bekväma kuddar och se att världen går förbi. Något som vi gillade särskilt var att restaurangbord och stolar inte var trånga bredvid varandra och det fanns utrymme. Jag älskade de använda färgerna & draperierna med fairy-lampor på, det läggs till atmosfären. Mat: Min pappa och jag bestämde mig för att få buffén som passades av en vänlig personal som gärna förklarade vad varje maträtt var. Det fanns ett välsmakande urval av indiska rätter samt alternativ för sallad, frukt och öken (imponerad av den ägglösa muffin!) Jag hade en härlig vegansk kokosmjölk - bananskakning. Personal: Sonia serverade oss vid vårt bord & hade ett varmt leende, snäll natur, mild och vänlig inställning samt med en professionell och artig attityd. Personalen var mycket vänlig och gav oss utrymme och var också uppmärksam. Kockarna gjorde bra, utsökt mat! Vi ser fram emot att ta resten av familjen hit för en måltid nästa gång vi besöker Krabi. Mycket kylig atmosfär när du går uppför trappan till restaurangområdet. Den vegetariska indiska buffén var extremt välsmakande, inte för överväldigande eller kryddig. Gick sedan ner till biografen - super rymligt, rent och bra ljud och bild. Skulle definitivt gå igen!

Govinda s är en ny, högkvalitativ, indisk, vegetarisk restaurangbuffé. Det har en härlig atmosfär och är stort värde för pengarna. Vi tog film och mat affär som var stor. Det har ingen licens men det finns en mängd olika alkoholfria drycker. Jag rekommenderar starkt Govinda. Jag skulle uppmuntra dig att boka eftersom det blir mycket upptagen och också att komma dit tidigt. All maten är utsökt. Personalen är så vänliga och hjälpsamma.

Vi som en familj på 4 hade just anlänt till Kings Cross-området i Sydney och fancied en indisk så checkade ut närmaste Curry House till vårt hotell och Govinda slocknade upp. Det beskrivs som en ät så mycket som du vill ha indisk buffé som appellerade. Vi anlände utan en reservation men platsen var nästan tom men receptionisten sade att vi kunde ta titta på buffén spridas innan vi åtagit oss. Vi såg en konstig blandning av internationella livsmedel inklusive Koftas och Lasagne men det såg gott ut. Det var bara en gång vi satt och vi insåg att det var vegetarianer utan kött, Koftas och Lasagne var vegetariska versioner. Servitrisen kom att ta våra drycker order och vi upptäckte att de inte serverade alkohol så vi var tvungna att göra med Diet Coke, återigen besvikelse. Mellan oss alla måste vi ha försökt allt som erbjuds och funnit att det är väldigt intetsägande mat utan mycket spicing. Det fanns en het chili sås tillgänglig som jag lagt till i mesta av min mat för att ge den en spark. Den bästa maten jag hittade var Dahl-soppsmakningen som liknar hemlagad ärtsoppa. Jag antar att om du är vegetarian eller vegan Govinda kanske passar, men för en köttätare gjorde vi ett stort misstag genom att välja denna anläggning. Om du gillar din köttcurry är det här inte för dig och vi skulle inte rekommendera det.

Jag gick till en film och live show på Govinda's teaterrestaurang i King's Cross och fick gratis chokladprovning. Sedan gick vi på övervåningen till mycket trevlig bufférestaurang rum och härliga bord. Trots maten köen var maten helt ny, perfekt kokta och läckra. Brickorna byttes ut så snart de tömdes med nykokt varm mat. Det var all vegetarian eller vegan och urvalet var rikligt. En av de bästa indiska restaurangerna jag har ätit på. Jag blev positivt överraskad och mycket imponerad.

Allvarligt är denna plats ett slöseri med kalorier. Smaklös mat som inte ens var färdigt beredda bra. Hoppa över den här platsen.

Min underbara fru och jag visste lite om Govinda innan vi blev inbjudna där. Allt vi visste var att det var Vegan och på något sätt såg vi också en film på platsen. Verkade alla lite "ute" som ofta motsvarar "en bra idé men dålig implementering"! ! ! Govindas ligger ungefär 5 minuters promenad från Kings Cross Station upp Darlinghurst Road och har ett grovt etniskt inredda rum på övervåningen som omedelbart återvände mig till dagar med enklare tider, rökelse och tittar på kartor som bestämmer vart vi skulle gå. Kokan är en buffé som serveras på vegan, där du kan återkomma så ofta du vill. När vi besökte var en läcker soppa, varmt bröd och flera vegetariska rätter presenteras vackert. . den lättsmittade blomkålen slår ut. Jag måste säga maten var fantastisk, perfekt kokta, bra smaker och olika. Även min köttätande vänner skulle njuta av det här. Gå hit för: - vackert kokta och god mat. . . och det är Vegan! - vänlig och engagerande personal - fantastiskt värde. . . $ 22 per person - Underbar atmosfär och miljö - gå på bio I slutet av middagen gick vi upp på bio och tittade på vår film medan vi laze på stora kuddar vilket var ett fantastiskt sätt att avsluta natten. Ja Govindas är Vegan. . . var inte rädd för att maten är utsökt och ja vi kommer tillbaka! ! !

Den indiska - buffé var bra valuta för pengarna, och jag har aldrig varit på en film comfier medan! De soffor är andra - till - ingen. Kommer att komma tillbaka för säkert!

Jag blev glatt överraskad över att jag hade vi njöt av indisk stil vegan buffé. Jag personligen inte var en fläkt av indisk mat. De erbjöd en bra urval av hälsosamma sallader med quinoa, Kale och lummiga gröna. Maten var inte alltför kryddstarka eller varm och jag tyckte det vara ganska gott. Den film rum var mycket mysigt och du kan verkligen avslappnad och njöt av den film.

Vi anlände på Govinda's är vi visste inte vad att förvänta sig, inte som vegetarian, men äventyrlig icke desto mindre vi kom. Efter gå uppför några trappor möttes vi och guidade till vårt bord och frågade om detta var vår 1 gata tid. Erkänner att det var fick vi med tanke på alla de behövt info för kvällen som våra bekymmer. Lokalen är underbara, mjuk belysning, diskret inredning, väl placerade och snyggt. Det är en bufférestaurang med bordsservering för drinkarna (ingen alkohol) och desserter. Buffén är stor. Den sort och smaken på maten var utmärkt och vi inte missade inte till något kött som ett resultat. Efter att ha njutit av en härlig måltid, som tillsammans ger fullständig gick vi upp på övervåningen till filmen mätta rum. Det är också en trevlig överraskning som var rummet dekorerade med solstolar och kuddarna om du vill luta på. Medan filmen var medelmåttig var detta inte att skulden för lokalen som överträffade våra förväntningar och vi hade en fantastisk kväll på krogen.
