Bennelong is a beautiful fine dining restaurant inside the Sydney Opera House. The atmosphere was beautiful and buzzing. It not as formal as I expected, it was a bit more relaxed. The view outside is incredible and the interior is one of a kind. The bathroom is just outside the restaurant so if you get caught in the concert crowd, it does get a bit crazy.

The food was delicious but a bit small, even considering it is fine dining. But it was tasty and everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Their drinks and cocktails were also very good.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They constantly checked up on us and made sure our glass was always full. Overall we really enjoyed it, it was truly an experience to dine inside the Sydney Opera House.

This was my second visit to this restaurant, and I must say that the atmosphere and the view from the window are absolutely stunning.

However, I was quite disappointed with the food. After eight months, I expected some changes, but only two item on the menu had changed, which was rather underwhelming. And the taste of the food was nothing special. It was just that kind of taste.

What disappointed me the most was that the hot dishes were served on cold plates, and every dish arrived lukewarm rather than properly heated. This gave me the impression that the restaurant primarily caters to tourists rather than focusing on culinary excellence.

If you are looking for a true gastronomic experience, I would not recommend this place.

The food was really delicious and such high quality produce. The service was second to none and what a difference in quality to back in 2000 when this restaurant was one of my work meeting sites. I was enjoying my meal so much, the ambience and our party I was dining with, that I only got to take two pics of the meal.

We ordered the three course option, the XO scallop entree was so tasty, my main roast vegetable corn tart was also very satisfying and hubby’s Wagyu beef just melted in my mouth. The pistachio ice and lemon Myrtle Pavlova Opera was delicious. 😋

Bennelong Restaurant offers an incredible location inside the iconic Sydney Opera House, making it a unique dining experience. The food quality was good but not extraordinary, with portions being very small even for fine dining standards.

The highlight of the visit was Johny, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. Not only did he greet us warmly and show us to our table, but he also took amazing photos of us in the restaurant and different parts of the venue to ensure we had the best memories captured. His service truly stood out.

Unfortunately, the service from our servers was underwhelming. I had to repeatedly ask staff to clear our dishes after each course, making it feel like they were inexperienced. Additionally, I found a hair in my dish. While they replaced it and apologized, I had to eat after the rest of my group had finished, and no further gesture, such as a discount, was offered, which was disappointing.

If you’re after the experience of dining inside the Opera House, Bennelong is worth a visit. However, for better food and overall dining experiences, I’d recommend alternatives like Amare at Crown, Six Head, Catalina, or Quay Restaurant. A solid 3.5-star experience, elevated by Johny’s exceptional service.

Iconic location and the service was exceptional. The cocktail list is excellent and the food is also quite great. Definitely worth a visit for a special dinner in one of Australia’s most iconic buildings, such a special experience.

En utsikt ut mot hamnbron, sittande i en av världens mest ikoniska byggnader, ätandes på utsökt och konstnärligt perfekt mat, väntandes till hand och fots. Vad finns det inte att älska med det här? Önskar bara att vi hade råd att göra detta oftare men det är väl värt kostnaden för upplevelsen.

Utmärkt utsikt och utmärkt mat. Faktum är att det var en av de bästa restaurangerna vi ätit på på resan till Australien. Sommelier var mycket vänlig och uppmärksam; kan inte säga detsamma om andra servrar. Vi kom aldrig på vem som skulle ta hand om oss. De fortsatte att försvinna efter att ha presenterat sig.

Vi har haft en spektakulär drinkar och dessert på Bennelong. Det är en skatt. Beläget nedanför Sydney Opera House med otrolig utsikt och fantastisk Service.

Vi ringde för att boka ett fönsterbord tid och dag var irrelevanta, allt vi ville var ett fönsterbord för vår 36: e bröllopsdag och även om den preferensen skulle läggas till vår bokning, fick vi veta att sittplatser tilldelades på dagen och det fanns ingen garanti för att vi skulle få ett fönsterbord. Även när vi rådde att vår restid ner till Sydney var 3 timmar fick vi fortfarande höra sittplatser arrangeras på dagen vid bokningstillfället och vi hade ingen möjlighet att veta vår sittplats tilldelning tills vi kom. Inte vad jag förväntar mig av Bennelong så nu kör vi inte 3 timmar för att betala hundratals dollar vid ett bord vi inte vill vara vid. Detta är en stor restaurang i en exceptionell miljö! Menyn har mycket att erbjuda och presenteras unikt. Personligen njöt jag av lerkrabban, raviolon och pavlova (även om jag tror att menyn säsongsmässigt ändras). Priserna är höga, men enligt min mening är de värt det för en god måltid i ett fantastiskt läge. De har också en mycket omfattande vinlista och uppmärksam Service. Sammantaget en trevlig kväll ute!

Åkte den 23 augusti. Servicen från början till slut var fantastisk. Personalen var genuin, uppriktig och mycket vänlig. Läget och interiören i restaurangen var storslagen! Maten var helt utsökt. Vackert uppställd på tallriken och unika smaker. Det fanns tillräckligt med valmöjligheter för vårt bord med varierande åldrar. Vi kände oss bekväma men behandlades med vänlig förstklassig Service. Vilken upplevelse vi aldrig kommer att glömma xxx

Poppade in i operahuset för att slippa regnet och vandrade in i restaurangen. Fin mat på alla nivåer. Trots att vi inte hade en bokning erbjöds vi en 5 rätters avsmakningsmeny, en lunchtid 2 rätters meny inkl mousserande vin, a la’carte meny eller bar snacks. Vi valde 2-rätters lunchmeny. Maten var av högsta kvalitet och helt utsökt. Servicen var oklanderlig. Vi satt och tittade på Circular Quay och Harbour Bridge. En mycket oväntad och trevlig eftermiddag.

Wowser. Vi har verkligen haft vår middag på Bennelong. Platserna går, att vara inne i Sydney Opera House komplex med utsikt över bukten till Sydney Harbour Bridge är förmodligen där uppe med några av de bästa i världen. Menyn är centrerad kring australisk mat och vin, vilket är oförståeligt med tanke på kvaliteten på råvarorna som erbjuds. Vi valde trerättersmenyn som erbjöd mat som krabba, fläskmage eller rödbetssallad till att börja med; torsk, anka, grönsakstårta eller wagyubringa till huvudrätt; och pavlova (vilket måste ses för att tros! ) , granita eller chokladsammet till efterrätt (inte exklusivt och mina beskrivningar gör INTE maten rättvisa! ) Servicen var uppmärksam men vänlig och avslappnad, perfekt för tonåringar som inte gillar för mycket väsen men gillar att lyssnas på och att kunna ställa frågor. Chiara var vår servitör för kvällen - hon var stor och pojkarna uppskattade verkligen den tid hon gav dem. Hon var vänlig och kunnig och verkade alltid vara där när det behövdes men var aldrig påträngande eller för mycket. Jonathan var vår sommelier och producerade några exceptionellt goda australiska viner som parades underbart med maten vi åt, trots dess variation av ingredienser och smaker. Restaurangen är belägen i Operahuset och passar perfekt för före - eller efter - showmåltider. Det var ett riktigt nöje att äta där och tack till all personal för att få oss att känna sig så avslappnad.

Vilken utsökt upplevelse. Hade Australian Marron till start, följt av Maremma Duck och Chocolate Velvet dessert till avslutning. Allt tillagat till perfektion. Min servitör Maxime var mycket uppmärksam.

Ikonisk miljö med underbar personal, Tyvärr maten var mycket genomsnittlig. Med tanke på beskrivningen i menyn var den faktiska biljettpriset både oinspirerad och för dyrt.

När i Sydney, Bennelong Restaurant är ett “måste - göra” erfarenhet från oklanderlig service, vacker atmosfär och läckra måltider, är jag en bestämd fan. Rekommenderas eftersom du inte kommer att bli besviken. Var noga med att boka en bokning i förväg eftersom det är en mycket efterfrågad upplevelse.

Detta är ett bra ställe, det är väl beläget, byggnaden är unik och vacker. Gott var fantastiskt, svårt att beskriva smakerna. Servicen var förstklassig. Det är dyrt, men för ett speciellt tillfälle vem bryr sig.

Första gången på Bennelong och vi hade huset lunch som var 2 rätter plus drycker vid ankomsten. Servicen var bra och den övergripande atmosfären okej. Maten var bara genomsnittliga även om det var bara den speciella hus lunch på promo för tillfället.
