Was very much anticipating our dinner here. After reading a few reviews,about the food, was getting  quite nervous. However, the ambience, service, food & drinks were exceptional. Went on  Good Friday; few drinks to start. We ordered, corn chowder with scallops, beetroot salad, the fish fillet, chocolate tart & custard with rhubarb. Would highly recommend visit to this Bondi institution.

Wow I’m SHOCKED to see such raving reviews?! I really wish I could leave one as well… but it wouldn’t be honest. Dinner sitting was 20mins late, floor was slippery, felt like a layer of grime was on it and decor looked dusty and like a fish and chip shop?! Photos online look much nicer and fresher that’s for sure. Service was nice enough until the end when they rushed us out to seat the next sitting time but hey gotta do what you gotta do I guess. Celeriac soup was nice. Presentation was lacking. Prawn toast was 10/10. Chicken was a large portion but honestly bland!!! Didn’t take a photo because I was so hungry- took almost an hour to arrive. We got a complimentary 20c sized puff pastry with caramelised onions on top…. Can’t help but look back and laugh at that now. The leeks and brown rice were super soft like mushy soft and the parsnip and ginger pudding was good… the cream was like sour cream. Wish it had more sweetness! And then to top it off you get charged for being a customer with a “weekend surcharge x 3”. I guess this is a normal Sydney thing here, visiting from interstate. When paying the waitress kindly let us know we could choose a certain tip amount when paying or press the green button for no tip and I couldn’t hit the green button fast enough. Have had really great food in Sydney and this was not it. $120 per person. Spend your money elsewhere.

We had a booking for 6 people 2 days ago for a friend's birthday. Our 2pm booking led us to be seated at 2.25pm. The staff were run off their feet. Everything was rushed and we didn't get to finish our dessert before the table was needed for the 4pm booking. At $200 pp we did not feel this was value for money. It was not the staff's fault but the owner who insists on a 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm and 8pm setting. Many more places to get a much better dining experience

Lovely set menu with a considerable variety of options. Serving sizes were perfect and leave you satisfied.

The mains and desert were wonderful; the entree slightly underwhelming, yet still enjoyable. They also offer complimentary winter vegetables and  bread which was a nice touch (although the butter was still quite hard).

Impeccable service from the waitresses that took care of us.

The atmosphere is certainly cozy and intimate — with beautiful decor, as well as a view of Bondi beach.

Whilst the menu changes, I’d most definitely recommend visiting Sean’s, at least once!

Beautiful interior, with amazing location. Love the aesthetics. Organic farm to table food was tasting, perhaps missing a bit on execution. Service was a bit disappointing, but they were busy and going through a shift change, but they essentially forgot about us.
Still I would recommend this place. Truly a beautiful restaurant, and perfect place to have a long lunch.

Sean's is proclaimed as one of the "it" spots in Bondi. I'm not sure whether it's the odd shaped restaurant, eclectic decor, or the fact that they have a menu that changes daily. The meal is a three course where you get to select between 3-4 options for each course. The price is set regardless of what you picked. I liked the vibe of the restaurant and I thought the food was good, but I'm always a little iffy about how the vegetarian option is just as expensive as a steak. Maybe that's just me? Cool to check out. Food was good, but wouldn't go out of your way for it.

Bondi has its perennial beachfront restaurants and nothing seems too extraordinary when you stand outside Sean's Panaroma. The signage is somewhat deceiving with a blazing orange and red surf font that looks similar to one of the fish and chip shops down the road. Once through the door you may think you have dropped into a canteen. However once you are welcomed by the staff the ordinary laid back casual comes into its own and the journey has begun. The menu is written on individual squares of hanging chalkboard and the table linen is simple and fresh with just a little sprig of floral in simple clear miniature bottles. The food is simple seasonal produce most ingredients fresh from Sean Moran's farm in Bilpin, NSW. Our choice for this lunch is the Chef's Choice degustation which starts with Squid to start, Asparagus followed and two choices of mains being steak and barramundi. We finish 1.5 hours later with a granita sundae. It may have lost one chef's hat however the quality of service and natural seasonal produce on a ever changing menu is a winning combination.

Wow ! I love this place ! I've been 3 times to Sean's. The menu changes constantly with the seasons & what they found at the market. It is simple food and recipes - at their best. The service is caring and makes you feel at home. Just a heads up - it is pricey.

Sean's Panorama: an elegant and cosy restaurant that's one of Bondi's best Nestled into a small space between Aqua Bar and a red brick apartment block is Sean's Panorama. It's a restaurant best saved for special occasions: significant birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and other celebrations. Or you could - like us - just go because you feel like treating yourself. The idea was to go for Easter Sunday as a reward for staying in town rather than succumbing to the temptation of a long weekend away, but it was closed so we took the next available booking, which was the following Sunday. A long lunch on a Sunday is one of the joys of life so we made it for 1pm. The restaurant is small'ish, but every seat gets an ocean view thanks to a mirror reflecting Bondi Beach for those tables facing the wall. There are sea-themed paintings on the walls, making it feel like a beach cottage, white tablecloths and vases filled with rather old-fashioned red, yellow and pink roses like my mother used to grow. There's a mix of families, couples and a small group of friends celebrating a birthday party complete with their own balloons. Sean's Panorama has been a Bondi stalwart for years, serving consistently good food and staying true to its offering as restaurant fads come and go and restaurants change owners and cuisines. I first went about ten years ago and the meal was as memorable then as it was this time around. The chef is Sean Moran, who has a farm in the Blue Mountains where he grows a lot of the ingredients that end up on our plates. He's Australia's answer to Alice Waters of Chez Panisse in San Francisco with his belief in the paddock-to-the-plate philosophy. I've always thought that he's got a pretty good set up, a country estate in the mountains and a place by the sea in the city. And the Blue Mountains happens to be Bondi Curmudgeon's favourite place (maybe because it is so far from Bondi). We order of bottle of Arneis, most of the wine list is Australian or you can bring your own bottle for a $20 corkage fee. The menu is written on a blackboard daily. I was going to have a main and a dessert but choke on my decision and order the squid ink calamari as an entree instead. It's the most tender calamari I've ever had but it's very rich in flavour so I'd recommend choosing two entrees and sharing it. I would have shared with Curmudgeon but his prawn chowder is gone before I can say, 'do you want to share?' For the main I have roast chicken, and if I could make roast chicken like this at home I would bring back Sunday roasts. Cooked in sage and butter to a golden brown, the skin is fried to a heavenly crispiness while the chicken inside remains moist and tender. Curmudgeon had roast beef and Borlotti beans and proclaimed it delicious. Unlike many restaurants where you have to order the sides and vegetables separately our meals come with a big bowl of roast potatoes and autumn vegetables: beans, turnips and squash. I would have loved to try the dessert menu, but I was too stuffed to fit in a single morsel of the famous noughart so we called it an afternoon and walked back to Rose Bay. The friggin worst. I went to Sean's with a group of friends after it came recommended to us as a great place for dinner with views. The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived. The rude hostess felt the need to inform us that "it wasn't a cafe" in an attempt to dissuade us from coming in. When we asked to be seated, the repeated deep sighing began as she slowly and irritably set up a table for us. We were reminded multiple times that if it were not a Monday night, she would not be able to accommodate us (you know, in the completely empty restaurant). The menu was extremely limited with only 4-5 entree selections. Not sure why this is categorized as an Italian joint with curried cod on the menu. After sitting and being ignored for an extended time, we just walked out. Don't bother with this place.

We loved Seans - everything was perfect from the outdoor sunset seating, to the impeccable service and the amazing food. It was the first time a few of us had eaten here and we were very impressed. We had the Chefs recommendation and loved it all! The gnocci and the salt n pepper crab were the standouts!

Awesome! Very fresh, very tasty, great view of Bondi Beach, I highly recommend. Sean was even there in the kitchen and came out to say hello....The food was sophisticated in a modern Aussie farmhouse kinda way. You could tell this was an ingredient driven menu, which resonated with me being from California.

Arrogance and rudeness doesn't match the service or the food. This place used to be good, they have forgotten what a restaurant is and what matters. Don't bother. So much better food and service almost anywhere else. Awful.

First & foremost the service was so good! Our waiter was so amazing. She totally ran the show with one runner the entire night. The restaurant was packed & pretty sure she had to turn away many walk ins. Food was outstandingly good, simple, tasty, elegant & true to form, we made lotsa noises lol. Wine stunning & my date equally so. I must say being a local & new to the area again, as well as being on a first date tonight was a night I will not forget for so many reasons. I'm a massive fan.
