Choosing Cumulus to host our Wedding Lunch was definitely the right decision! We’re not fans of big traditional weddings, so finding a place with great food was really important to us. Our event manager, Kate, was fantastic to work with—she was responsive, patient, and really detail-oriented. She made sure our ideas were turned into a solid plan and nothing important was overlooked.

The venue itself was beautiful, and the day went off without a hitch. The food was incredible—plentiful and absolutely delicious. Our guests were well-fed and happy. The staff were polite and very attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. We had such a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Cumulus for anyone planning their next event!

All dishes were phenomenal, so delicious and beautifully presented. The duck and scallops absolute standouts!!!  Really enjoyed sitting at the bar. Had a wonderful dinner experience and will be back!

I came here for a wedding and the food and service were amazing. I will definitely come back to eat their delicious potatoes and steak and experience the exceptional service again. I sadly dug straight in so don't have any photos of the mains but dreamt about it in my sleep

Cumulus in Melbourne boasts a fun and energetic atmosphere, though the space felt smaller than anticipated. While securing a table was surprisingly easy, the service proved to be a significant drawback.

We encountered an unacceptably long wait for our orders to be taken for both drinks and food. The pacing between courses was also painfully slow, which unfortunately detracted from the overall dining experience.

Despite these service hiccups, the food offered a mixed bag of successes. The Tuna Tartar was exquisite, though the addition of peas felt unnecessary given the perfectly seasoned fish. The Gazpacho and Squash Mozzarella Salad were both refreshing and well-received. The Swordfish, enhanced by the unique flavor of the accompanying tomatoes, was another highlight. The Porterhouse was cooked to perfection and undeniably delicious.

The cocktail menu, while intriguing, could benefit from clearer naming conventions. The "Don Lockwood" could easily be called an Old Fashioned to avoid confusion. The "Courtside Cooler" proved to be the perfect summer refresher.

Overall, Cumulus has the potential to be a fantastic dining experience, but the service issues significantly impacted our enjoyment. With a slight increase in staff, this vibrant restaurant could truly shine.

Revisited Cumulus after years of not having visited Melbourne and found that they have not lost their quality and touch.

Somewhat leaning towards "casual fine dining" each dish is finely created and presented.

The tuna  was a highlight, with the assorted flavours and textures working in balance each other. The Nudja octopus was also a hit, strong spicy flavours working well with the tender savoury seafood. Lastly the pork chop was well cooked and seasoned well with sauce and accompaniments.

From the bar, we could see the busy kitchen and the regimented way all the chefs performed. You can see other dishes being prepared and makes you want to try more.

Overall a great experience, matching my previous visits and justifying my return this time.
