Recommended by a friend. Service was good. The oysters were great, the bread was fine, I liked the chicken hearts, the lobster soup was amazing. Everything else was as I expected as I read the menu: don’t know what to expect and couldn’t understand the flavours. But it’s interesting to try out one time.

The food and service was impeccable! I love going to movida, they remain one of the best restaurants in Melbourne consistently! The new addition of paella to the menu is a smash hit… although you have to wait 40mins for it to be prepared it’s worth the wait. The flavours are balanced and there’s plenty of seafood, although a bit more rice would have been nice. Really enjoy coming here for special occasions every few years

Honestly, my experience in Melbourne was mostly positive, but this one place really let me down... After a long day, I ended up going to this restaurant because of a cancellation fee of 50 AUD per person. Unfortunately, I quickly regretted not just paying the fee and skipping the meal altogether.

Despite being a Spanish restaurant, the food tasted more like a confusing mix of Asian fusion. Nearly every dish was either overly salty or left a strange and unpleasant aftertaste. We ended up spending around $100 each, and only found two of the tapas to be enjoyable. I fully understand and agree with the negative reviews - if you do decide to give it a try, I'd strongly recommend avoiding the main courses altogether.

On the positive side, the service was decent. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, even though they seemed to be quite busy. As for the atmosphere, it was alright - the restaurant was quite dark, but the music was decent.

First time I've dined here and I'll definitely return. Food was delicious. Our waiter was professional, friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes and he also had a sense of humour. I really liked the fact that he didn't rush us and explained the dishes when he brought the menus.
The ambience of the dining area was perfect for a catch up with family and friends. It was peaceful with no dreadful music, which was a big plus for me. So often one has to shout at dining companions over the music. MoVida excels in all aspects. Food, service, atmosphere. I'd recommend without hesitation.

What an incredible experience - all dishes were absolutely stunning! I ordered a half portion of Iberico ham, croqueta (had to order another one as it was too good!!!!) pulpo, and the scallop on the specials menu. If you read this… order it! It was fresh, smooth, tasty… i could have eaten ten of them!
Service was amazing as well, lovely staff, always with a smile, knew what they were talking about!
I am Spanish and I hardly ever go to a Spanish restaurant as they tend to disappoint me.
This one definitely didn’t! I would go there again tomorrow if I could. Totally recommended- next time I would like to try some of the bigger dishes as I was dining solo and only ordered tapas.
