I attended the New Year’s Eve dinner ($115 pp) with a group of four, and overall, it was a good experience. Our server was lovely, and the food was delicious, well paced. The standout dish for me was the potatoes they had incredible flavour, and I also really enjoyed the ham. The sauces that accompanied the dishes complemented everything beautifully. The only downside was that it was a bit warm inside the restaurant.

Chef Kyle rustic brasserie craft is laid bare on each plate of locally sourced and produced meals.

From their simple but divine roast potatoes to heavenly wood fired sourdough bread with a devil dust of salt and garlic to top it all off.

Moving onto their artistic chicken mousse eclair, French onion dip, celery stick.

For the mains Flinders Island lamb could take bit more flavour from its juicy sauce, lamb meat quality and serving size was just right.

Same goes for wattle seed chocolate mousse, salted caramel with peanuts was wanting for a bit more kick on the taste buds.

$95 Chef’s Shared Menu is amazing value given the effort, ingredients and service of Hazel. Chuck in a few oysters and drink or two and you are in pure bliss.

Ambience, service is 5 stars.

Incredible restaurant and really under rated. I've visited around 8 time either for dinner or dessert and it's always AMAZING!! Hands down one of the best dessert spots in Melbourne!
Service is amazing and food is seasonal.

Planning to visit Hazel for quite a wile and last night finally made it. What a place! Situated in an old Richard Allen building on Flinders Lane, this place offers great vibe, immaculate service and exquisite food & wine. It has a great European bistro like feel, dimed lights, music in the background and people chatter....just right! Food was really well prepared and presented. We had Marinated peppers with hazelnut butter and Flinders Island lamb, carrot, broccolini and it was amazing....for some reason those slightly smoked or charred Broccolini tasted better than anywhere else. Woodfired sourdough bread was just as good and a glass of Grenache. Game Over!!! Great night. Highly recommended. We will go there again for sure....soon.

I had an incredible experience at Hazel on Saturday night. It was truly a hidden gem. All the food was exceptional, the flavours were all fresh and punchy. The portion sizes were all generous and the wines were delightful. The service was 10/10.
I loved the atmosphere and the slow Rnb music that made for a modern funky vibe.
I will definitely be retuning ASAP. I will also be recommending this to everyone I know.
I recommend downstairs for a quieter dining experience.
