I loved the orange interiors and the lovely food. We ordered the smashed avacado, the waffles, the scrambled eggs and the French toast.

The large windows looking at the road give a lovely view into Old Fitzroy. Bentwood, true to its name uses bent wood in its table and chairs, which goes well with the modern interiors.

Great food, lovely views, and furniture true to its name make this a place to be when one is in Fitzroy or Melbourne.

Discovering hidden gems as a tourist is always a delight! Bentwood Café was one such place we stumbled upon, nestled in the heart of Fitzroy. It was an absolute treat! We ordered:

Went to this amazing cafe yesterday & we absolutely loved it! Such a beautiful space, the food was amazing and they catered for my allergies! Such friendly staff and such a beautiful spot in the heart of Fitzroy! So perfect for functions, definitely would love to have my next birthday event here!

We enjoyed one of the best breakfasts I have ever had out at Bentwood! The fritters were beautifully crisp, poachies cooked to perfection with a generous portion of avocado. Coffee was top notch too. We are in Melbourne for 2 nights and no doubt we will head back for brunch tomorrow. 10 out 10!
