I did not stay at the hotel but had the pleasure of eating at the restaurant which was magnificent! And enjoy a few glasses of great Albanian white wine at the bar. The decor is fun, bright and eclectic, and the bar tenders great to talk to, thoughtful about the cocktails. 🖤 it and plan on coming back to stay at the hotel!

Rooms are clean and nice, not the best luxury furniture but still good, but …. Service is great. In had included breakfast, i was late 15 min. The service guy Kledis say no problem, he was very friendly and quickly. Excellent. I can recommend the Bar the Food and the Hotel.

My partner and I had a very pleasant stay here at Padam Boutique hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the Rouge restaurant was beautifully designed right next to the hotel. Mariano at the restaurant was a great host and waiter. The rooms have a mix of a modern and traditionl feel to them. We were pleased with the experience in Tirana and the location was great.

After two positive experiences at Padam—one this summer and another last Saturday afternoon for lunch—we decided to dine there again on Sunday evening. Unfortunately, this visit fell far short of our previous ones.

First, a compliment to the chef: the dishes consistently showcased creativity, flavor, elegance, and complexity. Special highlights were the poached egg, foie gras, and desserts. Keep up the great work in the kitchen!

The service on Sunday evening, however, was disappointing. We arrived to an empty dining room and requested to sit at the same table as the day before. This was denied, and we were seated at an unset table. The atmosphere was lacking from the start; the music was too loud, the playlist unsuitable for fine dining, and the lighting felt harsh and unwelcoming.

Our server initially tried but soon lost focus. Key service points were missed, such as refilling glasses with each course. When we had to ask for a wine change as our food cooled, it became clear the attention to detail was lacking. Later, he seemed to acknowledge some service slip-ups and offered us “his best wine” by the glass as an exception. Unfortunately, the wine was notably oxidized—something that should have been apparent from its color alone. This server simply did not seem to know his craft, while we were the only table he had to focus on.

One peculiar aspect of the evening was the presence of a young woman in heels, seemingly there only to “look good.” She was more engaged with her phone than with guests and didn’t even manage a friendly glance. It’s hard to understand her purpose unless she’s related to the owner, as her contribution to the service was nil.

A younger server eventually took over, likely due to the absence of the head waiter. It’s understandable if someone doesn’t speak English, but when dishes arrive without any explanation, it undermines the effort put in by the kitchen. A fine dining experience should not include an excellent dish served with the sole description: “Beef.”

The guide reviewers should skip this visit. Padam isn’t quite ready, and that’s no fault of the kitchen or the Saturday host, both of whom showed genuine professionalism. Unfortunately, the “B-team” on Sunday undid much of that work and brought the entire experience down.
