Located within Sheraton Grand Salzburg, this restaurant was the best option after a long drive. The food was very good I must say, we opted for Austrian specialties, and we were delighted with this choice. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, there weren't many people in the restaurant, so the atmosphere was non-existent.

This is how 2 people ruin a restaurant. A cook and a waiter.

For €90 a person, with only a glass of wine, you expect to get some quality apporaching michelin level. Instead it was a huge dissapointment.
The stuff at welcoming was very friendly and helpful. The person who took the order not. I don't know what she wrote down, but after 30 minutes we had our maincourses on the table instead of the starters. Of course when they realised that, they took them back in the kitchen and after some minutes we had the salats which were decent and nice. The duck soup was not fresh and that was foul no1.

When the waitress brought the wine, she gave me a sample to taste from an almost empty bottle and then she brought another bottle to pur wine in my glass. That defeats the puprose of tasting it, as the second bottle could have been stale.

After we finished the starters, we waited around another 15-20 minutes for them  to bring the main courses from the kitchen, even if we were the only customers eating in the restaurant and they were 4 waiters working there at the time. We thought that they were cooking them again, because the dishes were already cooked 40 minutes ago, but no they were the original ones. By this time the schnitzel was soaky and the breading became like a dough and the potatoes were not fully cooked from the begining and the waiting for 40 minutes in the kitchen didn't help them much. The steak was okish but on the cold side and the sauce for it was like a chestnuts jam gone dry bad. The rice chips went hard and there was a better chance to be use as a teeth glue than food. None, the sauce or the crackers were freshly made and we didn't eat them.

The desserts were like bakery ones. Not freshly done, but microwaved and that showed on the chocolate one, where at some parts were dehydrated. Even the strawberries looked like the were cut hours ago.

The worst part about it was the spoon for the dessert, on which there was dry food on it. When we showed it to the waitress, she took it and brought a new one without even apologizing. l bet if we weren't looking at her, she would have cleaned it with a towel and give it buck to us.

The final straw was the bill. When it came, and it was obvious that the quality of the food and the service didn't much the cost, the same waitress asked me if i want to leave any money for the waiters. How rude that was, especially in a restaurant hosted by Sheraton. I kindly refused and I said, instead of money, I will give you some advices.

You shouldn't reheat food and give to your customers, you should check your cutlery before you bring them to the table, you shouldn’t use empty bottles of wine for tasting and you shouldn't ask for tips.

Overall the place needs a change of waiter and a cook attitude if they want to charge such prices

I recently dined at restaurant Mirabell with my family, and we have mixed feelings about the experience. The food was decent, and the atmosphere was pleasant enough. However, I must say that the service left much to be desired. The staff was inattentive and, one time even displayed rudeness.

We ordered steak and didn’t get a steak knife so we couldn’t eat decently and wanted to ask for the knives
We had to wave for a good five minutes while they were engaged in conversation and also busy working, and their reaction was quite impatient and irritated.  The young lady answered with JAAHAA and then commenced to tell us that she’d already seen us.
Well why didn’t she show acknowledgement so we knew she was coming?

Improved service would greatly enhance the overall dining experience.
