We had a fabulous time at the Panorama Hotel Obertauern.  The hotel location is great with immediate access to the slopes (including the night-skiing slope just across the street). The hotel room and facilities were great and the breakfast/dinner was outstanding. The whole Panorama team was so friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend it!

I don't like to write negative things, so it took me a while to write this review.

My fiancee and I stayed here in February 2024. We enjoyed the hotel for the most part, but one negative experience ruined it all, and we still have bad memories of it.

My fiancee booked a relaxing massage in the hotel. Right from the start, the masseur asked her where she was from. When she said she was from Ukraine, the guy started expressing his political opinions about the ongoing war, claiming that Ukraine's politicians and president were to blame for it. Relaxing massage — an excellent time for a fringe political opinion, right? But wait for it: when she started CRYING during the massage and asked him to stop talking about it, the guy just continued, saying she was being too sensitive. When I met her after the massage, she was utterly distressed and covered in tears. I've never seen her like this, and honestly — I'm ashamed that I got confused and didn't do more to protect her on the spot. I only said to the masseur that he hurt her feelings.

When we told the hotel administrator what happened, they said they understood the situation and promised to talk with the massage agency they use. But ultimately, no meaningful action was taken. They didn't even remove the charge for this massage (~100EUR) from our final bill of ~3000EUR (I'm listing the numbers just to highlight how absurd it'd be for us to fake this story to get a free massage). As a cherry on top, when my fiancee wrote a Google review about her experience (you can find it below; it's also 1 star), the hotel basically took the masseur's side because "they weren't in the room" to know the truth. As if it makes any sense for us to lie about it. This reply to her review only worsened our impression of the hotel.

We have stayed at Panorama hotel numerous times and have always experienced beautiful, professional staff and ambience.
Rooms are large and well maintained, food is great and wellness is truly exceptional. Location is right next to the ski lift.
This year we travelled with baby which can be tricky sometimes, but the hotel staff made our stay easy and relaxed.
Will definitely return!

Great location and a beautiful building with all the necessities you can hope for… nice pool, great saunas, delicious breakfast, dinner. The staff is friendly, polite with a professional attitude. Everything is nice and clean, comfortable beds, towels. Great parking garage also, especially for us as we were travelling by motorcycles. Throughout the hotel one can see nice details, flowers, fireplace, makes you feel real welcome.
It was a pleasure to have stayed at the Panorama hotel, hope to come back again. Thank you 👍

Beautiful and cosy hotel, 1 min walk to the Gamsleitenbahn 1 ski lift, 3 min walk to the supermarket. Everything was very clean and staff (and owners, I think) were so nice and helpful since we were with a small child. View from the room (on 2nd floor) was very beautiful and view from sauna (4th floor) is spectacular. Restaurant in the hotel is also very good, we had breakfast and dinner there during our stay.
