Best een leuke avond gehad in dit restaurant maar heeft toch enkele werkpuntjes.
We waren met 6 en er werd ons onmiddellijk duidelijk gemaakt dat bij de bestelling van een menu iedereen hetzelfde moest bestellen. Dit maakt het niet altijd makkelijk erop en zo verplicht je iedereen om toch wel serieuze compromis te maken. Zeker daar er in ons gezelschap een moeilijke eter zit. Het werd dan ook een  "heen en weer" geloop van het personeelslid naar de keuken om toch iets geregeld te krijgen.
Maar goed, uiteindelijk hebben ze toch voor één persoon een oplossing gezorgd, en zo hoort het ook. Maar wat een gedoe!

We hadden met 3 personen het wijnarrangement. Bij de eerste twee gerechten kregen we dezelfde wijn. Mag "gezien zijn prijs" toch bij elk gerecht een andere wijn zijn!
Maar wat nog het meest stoorde was de onkunde van de dienster. Ze was vriendelijk genoeg, daar niet van.
Maar ze heeft totaal geen wijnkennis, laat staan bekend te zijn met de wijnen die geserveerd werden.
Als je als enige uitleg bij de eerste wijn krijgt. Het is een Portugese, is lekker fris en fruitig.
Bij de rode. Is van Zuid-Afrika...is echt lekker.
De dessert-wijn. Is lekker en een beetje zoet.
Wel, daar loop ik als wijnkenner niet echt warm van.

De gerechten waren allemaal plaatjes met het eerste voorgerecht "Ceviche van tonijn" als uitblinker. Het hoofdgerecht "Filet van Europees hert" stelde me eerlijk gezegd wat teleur. Lekker zacht maar miste smaak.  Ik heb het hier puur over het stuk vlees waar de typische wildsmaak niet echt naar voren kwam.
Het dessert was dan weer overheerlijk.

In het algemeen een aanrader maar qua bediening klopt het verhaal niet met de gerechten die geserveerd worden.

Had quite a nice evening in this restaurant, but it still has some areas for improvement.
There were 6 of us and it was immediately made clear to us that when ordering from a menu everyone had to order the same thing. This does not always make it easy and you force everyone to make serious compromises. Especially since there is a picky eater in our group. It became a "back and forth" walk from the staff member to the kitchen to get something arranged.
Anyway, in the end they provided a solution for one person, and that's how it should be. But what a hassle!

We had the wine arrangement with 3 people. We received the same wine with the first two dishes. Considering its price, there should be a different wine for each dish!
But what bothered me most was the incompetence of the waitress. She was friendly enough, it wasn't like that.
But she has no knowledge of wine at all, let alone familiarity with the wines that were served.
If you are the only one who receives an explanation with the first wine. It is Portuguese, nice and fresh and fruity.
At the red one. It's from South Africa...it's really tasty.
The dessert wine. It's tasty and a bit sweet.
Well, as a wine connoisseur, that doesn't really bother me.

The dishes were all beautiful, with the first starter "Tuna Ceviche" being a standout. To be honest, the main course "Filet of European deer" disappointed me a bit. Nice and soft but lacked flavor.  I'm talking purely about the piece of meat where the typical gamey flavor did not really emerge.
The dessert was delicious again.

In general, highly recommended, but in terms of service, the story does not match the dishes that are served.

Het eten was echt heel erg lekker maar de bediening was ondermaats. Men wist niet altijd wat ze presenteerden, vergaten regelmatig iets te brengen, lieten ons zelf opstaan om onze aperitief te komen halen, etc.

The food was really tasty but the service was substandard. People did not always know what they were presenting, regularly forgot to bring something, made us get up ourselves to get our aperitif, etc.

Gezellig restaurant, zeer vriendelijke bediening door de in het (hollands) dialect sprekende man en bovenal zeer lekker en mooi gespresenteerde gerechten! Een aanrader!

Cozy restaurant, very friendly service by a man who speaks the (Dutch) dialect and, above all, very tasty and beautifully presented dishes! Highly recommended!
