2nd time we have eaten here. Food and wine were excellent. excellent. We were with 5 people and were squashed into a table that only seated 4 it would have been nice to have had a little more room at the table.

Quand l’imprévu se transforme en excellente soirée. Magnifique établissement que nous avons découvert hier soir en dernière minute. Très beau cadre, accueil parfait , service professionnel et que dire de la cuisine. Nous avons opté pour le menu 6 services à 85€ et c’était divin. Par gourmandise j’ai opté également pour l’assiette de fromage et je ne m’attendais pas à un tel choix. Carte des vins bien faite. Coup de coeur pour le thon rouge et foie gras aux fruits de la passion ♥️ n’hésitez pas foncez y sans attendre.

When the unexpected turns into an excellent evening. Magnificent establishment that we discovered last minute last minute. Very beautiful setting, perfect welcome, professional service and what can we say about the cuisine. We opted for the 6-course menu at €85 and it was divine. Out of greed I also opted for the cheese plate and I wasn't expecting such a choice. Well done wine list. Favorite for the red tuna and foie gras with passion fruit ♥️ don't hesitate to go there without delay.

Petit passage par le P'tit Gaby à Thisnes pour déguster un menu gastronomique 🍽 qui fait la part belle aux légumes 🌶.
On commence par le punch 🥃 et les amuses bouches. J'ai beaucoup apprécié les petites bouchées mais le punch était beaucoup beaucoup trop fort en rhum.  Pour les bouchées, un suprême de caille et sa praline au foie gras 🦆 avec une sauce brune et du confit d'oignon 🧅, une tomate🍅 mozza revisitée, et une tartelette bisque fenouil et œufs de truite 🐟. Tout est très bon et bien cuisiné avec une mention spéciale pour la tartelette.
On continue avec une entrée tout en poireaux... jaune d'œuf cuit à 64° 🥚meringue sucré salée farcie aux poireaux avec du caviar belge. Un mélange vraiment pas anodin qui bouleverse les papilles entre la meringue et l œuf mi cuit mélangé au goût assez fort des poireaux.
Pour le plat, notre choix s'est porté sur un mélange classique de poisson 🐠et de fenouil qui ne sera pas si classique que cela avec ici aussi une touche sucrée salée qu'on n'attendait pas... pour le filet de daurade rôti sur peau et sa déclinaison de fenouil en brunoise et en chips sucré et en glace🍦.
En dessert, un crémeux de yuzu 🍋, des petits fruits rouges 🫐, un sorbet et une meringue italienne moins chamboulant que le reste mais avec une pointe de peps.
Et pour terminer, au P'tit Gaby, impossible de faire l'impasse sur le café ☕ou le thé 🫖. On vous amène un chariot de biscuits 🍪au choix et devinez quoi... moi je prends toujours de tout... une décoction à la rhubarbe, un palmier, une pastei de nata, un rocher coco et un riz soufflé chocolat 🍫.
Ce menu à 55 euros était assez surprenant, première fois que j'ai mangé du caviar et franchement c est plutôt bon. Le P'tit Gaby reste un haut lieu de la gastronomie hannutoise ...

A quick stop by P'tit Gaby in Thisnes to taste a gastronomic menu 🍽 which gives pride of place to vegetables 🌶.
We start with punch 🥃 and appetizers. I really enjoyed the small bites but the punch was way too strong in rum.  For appetizers, a quail supreme and foie gras praline 🦆 with brown sauce and onion confit 🧅, a revisited tomato 🍅 mozzarella, and a fennel bisque and trout roe tartlet 🐟. Everything is very good and well cooked with a special mention for the tartlet.
We continue with a starter all in leeks... egg yolk cooked at 64° 🥚sweet and salty meringue stuffed with leeks with Belgian caviar. A really unusual mixture that upsets the taste buds between the meringue and the semi-cooked egg mixed with the rather strong taste of the leeks.
For the dish, our choice fell on a classic mixture of fish 🐠and fennel which will not be so classic with here also a sweet and salty touch that we did not expect... for the sea bream fillet roasted on skin and its variation of fennel in brunoise and sweet chips and ice cream🍦.
For dessert, a creamy yuzu 🍋, small red fruits 🫐, a sorbet and an Italian meringue, less chaotic than the rest but with a touch of pep.
And finally, at P'tit Gaby, it's impossible to ignore coffee ☕or tea 🫖. We'll bring you a cart of cookies 🍪 of your choice and guess what... I always take everything... a rhubarb decoction, a palm tree, a pastei de nata, a coconut rock and a chocolate puffed rice 🍫.
This 55 euro menu was quite surprising, the first time I had caviar and frankly it was quite good. Le P'tit Gaby remains a mecca for Hannut gastronomy...
